Headunit choices
The L/R eq on the 880 I find very helpful. It is the only unit on your list with that capability.

I'm here, catching up
As well as typically you aren't running them as low as they are rated which of course means more power handling. I am answering your question, but not particularly recommending these drivers for your application. Again these were mixed with only some midbass and no tweeter which of course helps to have a "full range" driver. They were Fostex FF85k's run almost completely on axis off an old a/d/s amplifier. Processing was done by an H701 and I have no idea how much eq was being used, but nonetheless those little guys mixed with a midbass run to around 250k in the doors was his whole front stage. The stage cues, positioning, and frequency response was outstanding. Super natural and plenty of output. (do realize that I would never have need for dual 12's output wise so it may not be what you are looking for).

My internet is down. Crackberry connection ftw. Actually it sucks 115k is not what I am used to. It crapped out when I tried to watch the Chinese Car youtube vid.- Welcome to the IHoP
Perhaps a fun filter would be to turn the word cunt into, "no matter what I said so far, I am a big pussy" You would then get sentences like. I can't believe that fucking "no matter what I said so far, I am a big pussy". I was at home and the woman was bitching at me, I looked at her and said shut up you "no matter what I said so far, I am a big pussy" and so on.- Welcome to the IHoP
Although I suppose it may not work on me since I can type shit, fuck, cunt and such.- Welcome to the IHoP
Just noticed a post with the nasty LSQ in it *checks for filter- Front stage work
Even if you wait, I wouldn't put rear speakers in. Rears do absolutely no good and are a complete waste of money. If you are concerned about the dB or 2 they possible could add (and most likely won't) there are a ton of other cheaper and better ways to get it. The destructive interference from the rear stage has the reality of taking away a lot more than it adds. Even if you have rear passengers and want to make them happy, I would still recommend beefing up the front and ignoring the rear. If you don't want to listen, the one acceptable (and I still don't like it at all) solution would be to run some midbasses in the rear to fill in the area between the subs and the front speakers. To me I can't handle anything higher than 50hz with a pretty steep rolloff coming from behind me.l- Welcome to the IHoP
I would rather watch. Or if I have to switch to a game where the odds are closer to your favor like craps or blackjack. If you can't win at blackjack at a casino you should RUN as fast as you can from the poker room. Either that or just send me your money cause it is going down the drain anyways.- Welcome to the IHoP
Oh lord, you went to the casino already? I have a friend that has two jobs. The first is doing vibration analysis and the second is playing poker. With the influx of popularity on hold- Welcome to the IHoP

What sort of listening preferences and installation locations do you have? Also, would help to know if you have a metal/soft tweet preference or cone preference.- Install: Line Out Converter
It may not be, try another one and see if your problem goes away.- Welcome to the IHoP
Sole reason I am not building a 70 Mustang. I don't really fit in them. I could make myself fit, but not really with any rear seat or cargo, in that case I might as well have a Pantera. I do get more investment time in the Stang, but wtf that is what loans are for.- Welcome to the IHoP
No room at all in them though. Teeny little cars. Not all of us are Jolly Green Giants. Hey, I ain't green. Just because the Giant is from here doens't mean were related.- New Guy

You could use your amps, but I would highly suggest something like a headunit in particular for a first try. It is much simpler i fyou can make changes in the front of the car and not have to pop the trunk. Also, you might be just as well off in the long run as you should be able to sell your headunit and the amps will be cheaper without, in particular if you can buy used amps. For a new h/u I really think the 880 is bang for the buck the best. Some people have had issues with them so get it from a good place, but I love the flexibilyt of it.- Install: Line Out Converter
I'm getting a midrange pitch through the sub and it makes a squarble noise also. What do I do. With nothing else but power & ground connected to the amp?- Welcome to the IHoP
I almost gave your thread a TOP Scott.- 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V: Project Spec-SQ
