  1. Welcome and John I actually thought that was the Yeti.
  2. You could use a 7" SLS or Extremii for a 3 way effectively, otherwise 2 ways are a possibility.
  3. boo, I will be at my fantasy football draft which is only a couple hours away but I won't be able to come.

  9. If you can go 8 don't turn back, what to match it with depends on your expectations and desires. Potentially with your budget buying a few different mids and auditioning them would be logical. You may find that a 3" is more than large enough to mate with the 8 or you may find that you like a 4 better. Depending on how the drivers are mounted (on/off axis) there could be a rather large difference in what might work best.

  14. You have a bunch of drivers that don't fit together in my book. The Type R is junk The MB quart I am not at all impressed with The CVX is way overhyped If you go TC9 at least go with the SoundSplinter as the service alone makes it a better buy than direct from TC I haven't heard or held an Audioque, but am not eager to either The Q or SSD would be fine, but they do not really fulfill the same application. not quite sure at this point what you are looking for...
  15. The 16 is great, but I'd never use it as a mid in a 3way but definitely if you needed bass in a 2 way and could only fit a smaller driver. The 18 series Seas will do better in midbass output, but the 16 is outstanding for its size. It is really just a compromise though for those who can't fit a larger driver. If you are willing to plug something larger in, you will be rewarded as long as you make the rest of the stage blend in with it. The CA18RNX really rock for midbass in a 2way, I can't say enough good about them for the money. I would expect the ER18 to be even better as a driver for a 2 way, but wouldn't use either in a 3 way as you might as well step up to the plate and go with a dedicated midbass to really mate up with your sub. The RF Powers sound like complete ass compared to either of the Seas btw. To help we or I it seems at the moment really need to understand your space constraints better. (a budget wouldn't hurt either)
  16. We cannot recommend a port area without knowing what power and what drivers you are using. If you want the length that is another trick as well since you have to subtract the volume of the port from the box before the calculation. Of course if you are building an external port it is easier.

Where I'm from, system means anything from a pair of rear 6x9's to a complete overhaul of the vehicle. System was more than one component that wasn't originally on the car. Typically, it was used meaning a pair of subs and an amp. Where you are from sucks.

Went to MFM and Owens Corning today. MFM is the manufacturer of Peel n' Seal and of course Owens makes the pink insulation. Great application for our products to help them out though, plus it was fun to see it being made.

He called it a system, a front stage is a system. Subs and stock crap are not.
