  6. I should have been more clear, but 7.1 and little bookshelves never really make sense. For 7.1 you need a large room and those speakers just won't cut the mustard for filling it. Of course with only a 42" tv I don't think 7.1 makes sense either as you are going to have to be too close to the tv to actually do a real 7.1 setup. A room the size you have really needs a projector.
  7. I will repeat, but for IB HT use it sounds great; otherwise, not so much.
  8. Happy Birthday!

I'm gonna have to disagree there. Same we know: 1 watt = 0.00134102209 hp HP=RPM x Torque/5252 To simplify we will use 5252 rpms as a baseline as all engines should be able to spin at that rate with decent power Therefore 0.00134102209 (watts) = Torque If we assume 100ft lbs then 100/ 0.00134102209 = x Watts = 74,500 watts If we assume that by a ricer we will have someone claim peak watts at some unreal thd I think that the statement is then correct. That doesn't work. You can't relate horsepower and torque as equals. Horsepower is work over time, so 1HP which equals 746 watts also = 550ft.lbs. per sec. Bastard, pulling out technicalities on me. I was going to leave it in HP. I understood what you were conveying. I just well, wanted to be an ass I guess. Sorry. No worries, I already knew you were an ass.

I think they should change the rules on SPL competitions. Instead of a single note it should be an average value of a number of notes from 20hz to 50hz equally averaged, with a negative adjustment if there are huge variances.

  21. Not exactly what either of those drivers are designed for. Is there a reason you are choosing two and only looking at the Fi's? For the same money(less) you could use 4 MJ18's which should help out the really lows if you plan to use the setup for home theatre at all.
  22. Oh man, sorry for the frustrations.

  24. I'd also play with shallower slopes, if you don't need the steepness regularly your stage will come alive as things blend together. Don't be afraid to underlap/overlap frequency ranges either. If by adding the hertz tweeters you mean in addition, I wouldn't you surely don't want two sets of tweeters in your car until you maximize the first.
  25. 7.1 durr. I could state it more clearly. I don't get the Axiom's. durr Plus unless you have a HUGE room 7.1 is a complete waste.
