Welcome to the IHoP
R2, I am sure I could get you a back door tour of Magnepan if you came up here. Jim is getting a bit senile but considering the measurements I did in his house I am sure he would remember me, but if he isn't willing I know both of his sons as well--and they like beer.

I need help with wiring
Dremel is a pain. I'd go spend the $1 at the local smoke shop for the guillotine style cigar trimmer and make it easy on yourself.

rli8 box design
The design is fine, but I'd just have them both share one port. As for the length it will depend on the volume of the box, the area of the port, and the tuning that you desire.

I use a cigar trimmer, it works better than anything else that I have tried other than the super expensive wire cutters.

Beware the price of wires, buy them online if it needs them. The stealership can rape your arse.

I forget that all Bm'ers are like that. First thing I do to a new one to me is swap out the pads. Huge difference on the maintenance of cleaning the wheels. The Axxis pads are highly recommended by almost everyone on the Bimmerboards for that application. I have them on my M

Twist the end skinny and stuff it in. You may need to retrim it as once it gets out of whack it is hard to get the strands together tighter.

Buy them both.- Welcome to the IHoP
No worries, I head your way 3-6 times a year. Normally I am too busy to do chit anyways. This time I couldn't even get a car. :Doh:L- Welcome to the IHoP
*realizes you asked full range. A Fostex 127 IIRC will work in a small bookshelf size horn. I am going to build a pair myself for one of the rooms in my house. I keep meaning to bug Adam for the plans and order a pair, but I don't have any sort of wood shop until I have a new house.- Welcome to the IHoP
