  1. You can also see the 3M acoustic insulation I used to knock down acoustic energy that is transmitted inside the strucutural parts of the car.   3. Step 1 -- wiring: I had to upgrade that funky GM wiring. For wiring, I used a local welding supply company. I brought some 20ga wire that I had cut to the right size and had them make me the appropriate 1/0 cables with ends. Total cost to me: $22

    For temporary I'd do what you are doing, I thought it was an enclosure you wanted to keep and run for a while. Had you warned me I could have brought an analyzer and mic and could put it through its paces.

    Well she-i-o I thought this was more permanent, but tunable. In that case duct tape and some modelling clay is your friend.

    I'd still use a more firm mounting removable back plate and have different volume plugs to stick on the inside to compensate the volume. It would be much easier and you'd be confident in the seal then.
