  2. I would have bought drinks....then i wouldnt have neen drinking alone. Currently aitting on an a330 heading for amsterdam.
  3. Wtf dumbass. I was at the msp airport as well...
  4. Had 12 contractors at the house this am. That doesn't sound cheap.
  5. On my way to Amsterdam
  6. Being direct is helpful in getting good answers.
  7. Normally it is just a 10mm, but not sure specifically on the Hyundai. Always ask for clarification, anything to help the learning is great!
  8. Both working from home today and I want to explore a bit, but we can't both seem to get off the phone at the same time. Damnit! I fly to Europe in 4 hours as well
  9. I don't want to recommend you do it with the wires hot...but what you described is what I would do. There are a tons of possibilities of accidentally doing something though so I really have to recommend you pull the fuse or disconnect the neg terminal of the battery.
  10. Or we are together in which case I have AAA.
  11. I will keep it for myself, but thought I could pull her off. She is only alone locally and the nearest BM'er dealer wherever we go in MN is back in the cities
  12. Touching the power wire to ground or vice versa. ie, short out the circuit.
  13. Generally speaking everything that you have to do you could do without disconnecting the battery. However, beware that there is live power and if you ground out the power you will be sorry. It is always safer to remove the battery terminal. The other option of course is to just pull the fuse you have by the battery for your amp. This cuts the power to the amp as long as the key is in the off position. If it is in On position the blue/remote wire will still have power and grounding that out can be bad as well.
  14. Matt - does the BMW certified include roadside assistance? ie, do I need to renew my wives portion of the AAA since she has a certified X3? Would save me $37...
  15. No, you just can't read. The 3.5" and 6x9" JL's are not "top shelf". Far from it. I said NOTHING about the rest of the line although there are plenty of other mediocre things they sell. Also unlike JL in general, NVX is awesome bang for the buck. JL fails miserably there... And just like I didn't say all JL was junk, I didn't now just say all NVX is great either. With each and every manufacturer there are sweets spots. In the micro amp domain though the NVX's are sweet. If you want to further discuss this make a thread. Your boner trolling is sickening.
  16. Check all the wires first. Make sure they are tight. A temporary problem is rarely a driver. Then start by swapping the RCA. Does it follow the RCA or not? Then swap the amp channels, does it follow the swap or not? Don't rule out the crossover as well. Although if it is the crossover a visual inspection may show you the problem as it will be "wiring" related (ie loose solder joint or the like, puffy cap, etc).
  17. Which are not P cars.
  18. Didn't hurt when I didn't own a house for time either.
  19. Too many, too much time. Not as much fun as when I only had one. Then a weekly hand wash was EASY.
  20. I think Ryan appropriately nailed why that isn't right.
  21. I get to maintain 2 cars too since my wife sure the fuck doesn't.
  22. I've almost always had German rigs though and they all dust horribly so something much more dust free really makes me happy. Small spacing on wheels piss me off...so do dirty wheels and those two things correlate too well. That and I am lazy and short of time.
  23. It is what my wives car would get as well. As long as it stops fine stock I don't stress. If going el cheapo I'd usually buy Napa ones although that is based purely on emotion and not fact.
  24. That was on older cars, definitely a difference. Now design is the critical part. So little hand assembled material as long as you avoid that you are fine.
