I've used UPS labels for Fedex and vice versa too. A little afraid that they will take further package bashing when I do, but it is always work chit and wtf.

What I would do is build it out of glass, bondo, sand, paint a basecolor, and then apply a single layer of cf over your smooth surface. You'd get the look, it would be cf, but the finishing would probably be easier. <--just a guess
