Welcome to the IHoP
IT is a little easier to fatten up in freshwater too. Food sources can be plentiful, where in the ocean something bigger will come get it.

Eff it, you can't change it so embrace it. In my case, I don't even get to get into cars, I have to put them on. Shoes, impossible to find. Pants, yep they aren't long enough. Shirts, well at least they come in short sleeve. Gloves, well I like it when I can't hardly bend my hand. Hats, fitted or go home. Everywhere you go, you will get noticed, you can't really hide so just be willing to be noticed. Take light of it, there is nothing wrong with being tall. Actually, IMO you are still a bit short. I am the normal height everyone else is just effin short.

I have never caught a striper, but we are a bit landlocked so that isn't surprising. Some reservoirs are stocked and of course the big lakes, but someday I will chase a few. Tried for about 20 minutes on Lake of the Ozarks, but decided that dock fishing for largies was much more fun.

Ding, ding, ding drag tighter than a nun's underwear so I don't miss the hookset on the under size smallies. Feel a little tick. Set the hook, and instant rod snapping Stop using braid? Can't help it man I here ya, the sensitivity is outstanding. What sort of baits to those beasts eat? I usually catch them with small jerk baits of all thngs. It got so bad last year I stopped using flukes. Ah, of course my "floppiest rod" is what I use for jerkin'. I'd really hate to bust it as well.- Welcome to the IHoP
Ramos, you are incorrect; Penny nailed this one.- Welcome to the IHoP
My scum frog rod (50lb), jig n pig rod(35lb), muskie rod(100lb), and my walleye jig rod(6lb) have it for either cutting threw weeds or sensitivity purposes. On the muskie stick it is just so I can actually fit a bit of line on the rod.- Welcome to the IHoP
