100lbs is a beast of a fish, but not really a problem on a muskie stick lighter rods too if you have a week.

There is something on your reel called drag....keeps the nasty from happening. Of course, mine are clamped down like crazy since I don't want to swing and miss on a hookset....

Dem is relly ugly fish.

Weather was terrible for me to, but caught a 4.1lb smallie...first fish on the rod I built this winter, not a bad way to start out the year. Friggin forgot the dang camera though so just a stupid cameraphone pic: what you can't see are the white caps and rain that keeps coming down, really wasn't a pleasant weekend to be on the lake and the water was only 47 degrees so it was pretty tough conditions but super fun nonetheless.

There are some around here who would think smallie heads make good soup.

sex aside...what do you mean, it can't blur your visions??? I missed the rest, but it is never a bad idea to evaluate what is really going on whether with your job, your relationship, your habits etc.

I haven't ever caught one in a river though, watched one engulf a smallie I threw back but not had one hit my line.

They are tough, even though much easier this time of year. Had a five fish day last year chasing them, but we still have to wait a few weeks before they open up.

I am not gonna shave today either, windburn sunburn it sucks either way.

Went camping, weather was the opposite of beautiful. Lows in the high 20's, highs in the 40's, non-stop drizzle and/or full out rain. Made it hard to fish...but catching the bottle bass was real easy.
