It is amazing how few people are willing to vacation where they have to work at it. In the BWCA no motors, wheels, sails, or anything mechanized is allowed. You have to carry your stuff on your back including your boat in between lakes. It tends to weed out the wimps.

I make a few trips up there each year, about the most serene place I ahve evar been...that and no people.

At teh end of next week I will be rowing. Going up to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Chasing shallow Lake Trout, smallies, and some walleyes.

I am sure the stereo in it is going to Rock!

Should be fun, but a lot of driving a damn rental van.

I get to work at: Mercury Marine Harley Davidson Caterpillar Next week.

I prefer inboards as well...hopefully next year I can get another cruiser but I have to sell the house first.

Not as bad as pulling off I/O drives. I used to have a 30' Sea Ray Sundancer and rebuilt both outdrives. Putting the frigging exhaust boot back on took longer than the rest of it. Mine comes off with 7 bolts and a little linkage pin, uber easy.

Wow, whats with all the effed up stuff happening lately. That's terrible. Glad he is okay.

In fact, last weekend I put in a new impeller. in less than an hour! wOOt!

Can't you just get a conversion kit of sorts? Pulling the bottom half off an outboard is teh easy.
