Welcome to the IHoP
Decided to make a hamburger before working on the car... As for crown molding, I am just about to order crown molding for a room and the mantle I am building. Thanks for the pics Elias, I am broke at the moment but still have a itch to get it.

JL Audio 10W0-4 ported enclosure
Good idea, there is a good spot underneath the dash in a corner. Will act as a "rain shield" that way as well.

Oo, can't pass on a TOP though.

Ah, I see. Indeed it is sort of useless to me. When it is huge I am good for 1 ticket otherwise I'd rather choose where to spend my cash. Elias you have a pic of the Eclipse? *goes off to clean garage* Later.

1968 camaro
I like the car and the effort on the install, but it is funny to me to see subs with asses like that mounted IB and the front imaging setup so unusual. I wouldn't like the Orange, except since it was popular and near stock at the time. Fitting for the car, and the addition of the black helps tame down the orange. I am not much of a Chevy guy, but have always liked that era of Camaro's. I'd way rather have Ramos's muscle car any day though.

Welcome to the IHoP
I am procrastinating. Have to clean the garage and then pull in the beast and install the shortshifter...hopefully the energy will come. Started a thread in the subwoofer section. SIck of my buddies crap ass system in his boat and going to give him my w0's to use since I won't be using them for anything. Really not sure on porting for this beyotch since it is not in a cabin and I don't think I should push for a SQ system but something with more of a focus of being heard since it is just for gettin' down when we are on the lake. Next I will have to get him to listen to better music, but at least I can bring CD's.

JL Audio 10W0-4 ported enclosure
I have two 10w0-4's laying around and my buddy has a 21 Chris Craft with a crap ass stock stereo. I am going to "give" him my 10w0 to use so I have something to listen to in his boat. He has a RFPunch 301x (75w x 4 at 2ohm or 40x4 at 4). Currently we are going to bridge the back 2 channels for the subs and power the fronts off the other half of the amp. Hopefully he will give me some money to spend on a sub amp shortly thereafter. JL's rec'd ae for .75cuft sealed or 1.25 ported for a car. Without cabin gain would you use a different size. Also, wondering on what you might tune it to if it were me it would be real low, but output is more of a concern here and when you talk about porting in the 40Hz range it is something I have never done. So I am looking for opinions. All numbers nominal: FS 24.2Hz Qts 0.400 Qes .420 Qms 8.560 Vas 2.45 ft3 Xmax 0.340in 85.7dB Sd 54.7 in2 Re 3.86ohm RMS 125w Also, if anyone has some bargain 6.5" speaks that you would like me to try and sell him let me know too.

Is it a basecoat/clear or just enamel. If it is just enamel on glass bodies they sometimes put it on so thick that it is amazing what some deep cut buff compound will take out. Have fun with it, I can't wait to see what you do....

Welcome to the IHoP
Cool maro. Matt, IMO the Fiero's look pretty good in silver as well just as long as a lot of the black stuff you see on most of them gets a silver coat as well. How is the front end? Those cars share front ends with Chevette's which of course is prett much the worst part of the car. There are easy kits that do a Mustang II conversion. Most that have it though have then been rebodied with a fiberglass Ferrari or Lamborghini body. Crazy how many different glass lids are available for that platform. I'd personally rather just have a really clean stock GT body with some added guts.

Sweet, I've always enjoyed them. What are your plans for it. Tom, as for crate motors I just had a colleague mail me a Bimmer magazine, they sell my engine in their as a long block for only $10,995 -- a bit more than $3k.

It is a catch 22. The rest of the civilized world may have free health care, but the hospitals and such aren't as good. For major surgery the well off from the rest of the world fly's here for having things done. I would hate to lose our capabilities just to make everything available. On the same note, there has to be some sort of compromise to still give doctors the desire to be the best but make healthcare more reachable for the normal person.

Oh. My. God. She. Was. So. Beautiful. Hot xray tech FTW. Might cause me to accidentally pull out my member and tell her it "hurts right here, can you have a close look at it"

Ryan, Touche! So many options... Tom, I wasn't infering that $3k for that was a bad deal at all, but since you have an open slate to paint on it wouldn't be the route that I would choose. *grins as he pictures a Ford powerplant hiding under the hood*

I'm one to agree with this... I hadn't realized that yet either, perhaps a little to inbred.

Welcome to the IHoP
I built the Galaxie's engine when I was 15 with no help, I did have a little labor help but from a very non-mechanical person. I just read a few books and manuals and ripped the motor out apart and slammed her back together. To get 400hp reliably you won't need to spend $1k on machining, but surely will if you shoot for 500. Really a bore/hone should be all you need. For $3k you should be able to do the whole build and get a set of better heads. I have no idea on the induction system on any GM, but I would imagine some minor changes could take care of the front end and your recent cats/exhaust should take care of the back. What power does your car have stock?
