amp power question.....
You are incredibly good at ignoring advice. Please listen to the answers when you ask a question. You NEED a DMM otherwise your gain settings could have you an order of magnitude off. Without measuring the voltage you CANNOT know what your subs are getting, it is not possible. If you are really concerned, you should have listened and just bought the Orion that was recommended. Buying the wrong gear is worse than paying too much for the right gear.

How would you guys feel
Yes, I cut up the stock kicks. Basically just fitted a 1" baffle and glassed it in. Still completely pointing off axis as the stock speaks, but I was unwilling to sacrifice the access for my size 15's on the clutch pedal and didn't want the passenger side to be drastically different than the drivers. If there are any specifics, I have complete build pics I can host/post/send.

With 8's you'd definetely have to vent into engine compartment and really lower the dead pedal, but doable. Here is how I did mine, not a whole lot of glass: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...wtopic=4650&hl=- Welcome to the IHoP
Really more than anything home ownership. I bought my first house when I was 22, still had that chit to do. A little worse now because I want to get it ready to sell. Indeed, day labourers >me. I am beat, but ready for some To-kill-ya.- Welcome to the IHoP
gonna go out for Mexican food. been one hell of a day, here is what I have been doing. 1) rake twigs -- nearly an acre yard creates pu full 2) take twigs to dump 3) paint dumb looking aluminum vents on roof 4) plant 18000 sq ft of grass and setup automatic sprinklers because remembering to water plants/grass > me 5) aerate the lawn (did before 4) 6) paint dumb old house numbers to match new trim color 7) endless errands at home depot, 2 minute stop $300 later 8) take apart dishwasher to fix stupid broken handle, injected molded plastic crap I need a new part Monday 9) polyurethane my mantle legs and top so I can start doing the trim work 10) visit with neighbors--brand new just moved in 11) fix dumbazz broken lawnmower -- tire off bead and a belt that likes to jump Sure I left something out of my rant, but the summary really is the day has sucked and it is time to relax. Margarita's ftw!- 1971 impala build

A normal 5.25 won't fit anyway, you need the reverse mount euro crap. You must have missed my link with the build, I put a 7" Seas in the kick no problems. Actually used an 8" grill and had there been a real option for the top that I could get by with a low crossover I would have used it. Pretty off-axis down there.... I too feel a 2" driver would be much more manageable to creatively mount for better on axis accessibility. I am sure that off axis at high frequencies will be a slight problem with a 2" near full range, but the mounting options will definetely outweigh those issues.- Welcome to the IHoP
I feel your pain. My hands are frozen and I can do no more. 45 ain't bad, but when the wind is gusting around 35MPH, it get's chilly quick. Worst part of my day, I had to spend 2 hours cleaning and condensing my glue bottles because the stuff was so dried and clunked up in the applicator tips, it wouldn't even flow. Piss. wind chill was 32 here, 36 without wind though, my install is beyond ghetto, and i have no sound from my right tweet fudge it. i hope its an rca that came unplugged or something like that, if not i swear i'm selling everything, and i'm not even close to joking Normally my job or some of our Canadian friends to complain about the weather, but it was 60 here and is going up to 70 by Monday. Beautiful and sunny!- Welcome to the IHoP
