DEh-P940mp- Active front/Passive rear
I wouldn't want to split my fronts either and think the LOC would probably be the best. How much juice are you going to throw at the rears?

I like working on rear ends too...prefer blonde dutch women.- Welcome to the IHoP
Trannies are not what I would call fun to take apart. Well rephrase that, put together.- Vinyl Stretch around little tweeter pods
Well it doesn't work the first time (for me). Chit, got CA all over my hands. Tried to wrap it around but the thing is so dang small I couldn't get it to lay right. Tore it off, gonna sleep on it. Got to figure out a way to get the CA off--maybe wear latex gloves tomorrow- Vinyl Stretch around little tweeter pods
Hmm, the CA glue I have you would use to glue on R/C tires. I am pretty sure I have the "slow" which sets up a little bit slower so you can move a bit. Might be amusing to see how many times I get to do this...- Vinyl Stretch around little tweeter pods
Glad you clarified the CA versus super. I have both and would have used the wrong one.- Stop the dimming!
Don't want to high jack, but do you wanna copy me too fryr? Or start a discussion post in the Auto section. As for your alternator, you may get close enough finding an Infiniti model that will bolt in, my guess is that they would be significantly larger and probably okay and better at idle. Not sure on the rice burners, but Lincolns definetely come with a bigger version than their Ford counterpart. Worth looking into, but I know nothing of the new Infinities. Loved the first Q45's though, just unbelievably expensive to fix.- Welcome to the IHoP
I am the opposite, I can't stand to take my hands off the keyboard to touch a mouse. Still using the original Windows 3.1 shortcuts...XP still supports them. Might be one of the only things they haven't butchered on the way. Can't figure out the dam "ADD REPLY" shortcut on this site though- Bored... so i post PICS!!!! lots
Sweet. Farfrombumpin! Far, but it won't take that long!- Vinyl Stretch around little tweeter pods
Bump. Is superglue strong enough? Or better than the contact cement? Gonna try in the next hour but would love more input- Welcome to the IHoP
Gotta love configurable hotkeys!- Building Crossovers
Doh, should have read Neon's post better. Sorry for doubling up.- My theatre
My wife would sure like the footprint compared to the towers that I have!- Welcome to the IHoP
Foobar has all of the good of WinAmp and almost none of the bad. Just the marketing hype removed. Steeper learning curve though.- Building Crossovers
Also a super tutorial at: http://sound.westhost.com/lr-passive.htm Good luck, let us know how it goes.- Welcome to the IHoP
Yep, but you can preset to your hearts delight. How long before car/home players will play double layer DVD with FLAC do you think? From the reading I have done it seems like a logical next step.- Welcome to the IHoP
Started a thread to ask that question here: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=4770- Vinyl Stretch around little tweeter pods
Posted this in the hop since there was some vinyl talk this morn, but need some help in figuring out how to finish the vinyl off after it is stretched and glued to the front. There is no place to "staple" the vinyl to the back of the pods so how would you attach it? I have never done this before, but have some really stretchy vinyl and 3M 77 Spray adhesive (and others, but thought this was best). Any recommendations on how to finish or attach the vinyl to the backside of the tweeter pods? As a reference for size the whole is less than 2" and the edges of the pod are about a 1/4". These will be mounted in the stock sail panel locations.- Welcome to the IHoP
Hey speaking of vinyl, I have to cover my tweeter pods (hopefully in the next couple of hours) and can easily stretch/glue the vinyl over the top, but don't know how to fixture it on the backside. Here is a pic of the pod. To give you a size estimate the cutout is less than 2", the thickness of the plastic/glass/bondo sides are about a 1/4" thick. I just don't know how to terminate the vinyl around the outside or trim it. What should I do?- Welcome to the IHoP
Easy to fix. Download Foobar. Much better than any Microsuck product, written by the guy who developed WinAmp after marketing took it over and allows you to convert, play and do about anything. The play mode doesn't stress the cpu at all. Another side note for you rippers, if you aren't using Exact Audio Copy to convert to FLAC you are losing a lot of information and don't have good copies. WinAmp with a FLAC converter completely butchers non-perfect CD's. Need direction let me know.- Welcome to the IHoP
Oddly addicting ... I can't seem to stop playing FYI, you need a lot of RAM ... Takes up 384 MB with 5 players halfway through the game ... I tried playing with 8 players and it was using up 425 MB of RAM and 3.86 GB of Page File by the 1600s (30-60 seconds between turns for my computer; 2500+ overclocked to 2035 MHz, 512 MB of PC333, highly overclocked GeForce4 MX440, overclocked AGP slot) This is the only game I've had that has stressed my computer to a point where it's noticably slow ... What sort of clock speeds can you get out of the MX440?- My Install :D
Nice box, now what does it look like in the car? - Welcome to the IHoP
