  1. Sure I can and have looked at several BMW and Mercedes. Mantainience is killer on them. Atleast in the dallas area. I am plainning on getting atleast 200k out of this next car. They look good but I dont trust them to get that. The 4-runner, accord, camery, lexus, and maxima are more reliable. Honestly, Im 23 and dont care as much as I use to about looks. I just want a nice car that can fit my budget and lifestyle. The cars I listed do. Oh, and I did test drive an M3....nice and fast but insurance would kil me. Screw looks, I am talking about driving enjoyment. A 3 series BMW'er (straight six) is cheaper to fix and will hit 200k just as easy as anything you listed. I am planning on getting to somewhere between 250-300k on my M5 (1991 vintage! hell ya got to love the classics). My car is insured as the same class as a Taurus and isn't even considered a performance car. No dumb timing belts, no ridiculous V6 imbalances, no extra ridiculous electronics (read Nissan), and super easy to work on. As for parts the 6 cylinder BMW's have parts that are almost as cheap as any other car check it out at (alloembmwparts.com) . Plus they do a lot to help with the dampening ahead of time, just makes it tricky to port the bass into the passenger compartment though. Basically if it has six cylinders it should be an inline: I6=V8 >>>V6 especially for high miles. For an engine that you are going to drive that far, intrinsically balanced internals really help!
  2. I hear there is one in Valdosta.
  3. I ran 9psi daily on a "doctored" SHO taurus and it was a friggin' blast. That will make it fun to run from the mounties.

As long as I get serviced, I personally don't care. Or are we referring to the hoochy hair, in that case blonde or bald always works

Especially when I use the top of her head to rest my beer on
  6. I love my Rl-p it is super clean sounding have it sealed in 1.35cuft but I wouldn't be scared of porting it. In my case I need the trunk space and spare (50k mi / year) and big demo gear to go in the trunk. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=4166 It has been a while since I have heard any CDT's, I have always been impressed with their price performance but I don't feel comfortable responding about how they sound. PM Upstage if you want to know. As for the clean sweep, I would either do Navone converters http://www.davidnavone.com/ or even better replace the hu. I am sure the clean sweep is fine, but JL is too big IMO so there marketing department has too much pull over engineering. You can tell from my equipment list that I don't often play with the big boys like that. Oh ignore that recommendation, you have a 92 Honda and asked for SQ--you NEED a new headunit!

I am sure if we pull the plate on "his Mach1" it will be registered to some random person, or as I stated his neighbor...

I missed the cheque the first time through, that is great. I thought you had locked that thread yesterday so I didn't post then, but it is unlocked now...
  9. hehe, ya I bought mine from Madisound for the same reason
  10. Thanks, I have a "researching problem"....some might call addiction. And those sites are definetely over the top when it comes to computer audio. Couldn't believe how much info there was out there, way, way more than anything I have seen for cars.
  11. Output for output it will be very similar in SPL, but flatter when the two are sealed up and to me will sound that much better. Oh, and who cares if the cone is nekkid get it anyway. The logo is cool and so is Mike....give him some money.
  12. Promo #1 IS-2080 CDT-CL62 $305.00 Promo #2 IS-2100 EF-61 $365.00 Promo #3 IS-2100 EF-61 CF $380.00 Or a build your own: IS-2100 and CDT-CL62 -- $350 **eagerly waiting to be put in your car** Of course if you buy the Rl-p instead of the D2 you have nearly another $250 to put in your front stage...which I would do (and just did), but I have never heard a D2 so my recommendation is unfair and biased based on being able to spend more on the front stage.
  13. Yes! The profile "looks" cheap, but don't take my word on it as I have never used one....but I am scared to.

    /\ wheeeee...post 350
  15. Upstage is the guy for those... What are you combining them with and what/where are you going to put them?
  16. That sucks, did you have to do custom grills then too?
  17. That's great. Might be "ok", but we need a little more info. Actually a question would be good as well? What are you trying to do and what do you currently have? How much money do you want to spend and what do you listen to? What sort of car isn't a bad addition either...

  22. 1) Digitize my music collection--started tonight (I think winter did to, it is supposed to snow ) 2) Remove the rust on my 95 Ford PU and glass/bondo/paint it 3) Build a mantle over my fireplace, it needs it badly 4) Hopefully find some 18's for summer tires for my car

6'3" I've got you by 4 inches, but it doesn't help me any
  24. They do own them, but they don't design them. I know the M-Audio is nice, but the a/d d/a setup on the E-Mu was subjectively labelled as better. I spent a long time on Hydrogen and head fi as well as diyaudio to make sure that my decision was okay. And I really only want 2 chn stereo as I have no use for the 5.1/7.1 formats--those are for the HT room. I just want my pc to be a jukebox for all of my CD's and my vinyl which I have to digitize using the board. 1000 LP's helped make the decision for me...
  25. Thanks for the help Jmac, I just bought a 0404 and am about to install. Can't wait to hear the difference from my mobo s card.
