Outside of M cars that have ridiculous after market warranty pricing on a $30k car you are normally out more than 10% to shop at the stealer.

There are a ton of negatives, almost no positives.

A ported box response fluctuates a ton with little differences in port length, box size, and port width. A bandpass box even more. Not measuring is crazy. Stating that for a sealed is way better, but you are leaving a TON on the table if you aren't somewhat precise. 4th order BP boxes give you only ONE benefit and that is you can remotely mount the sub/box and manifold the bass into the listening space. Pretty much every other use for one is a net negative and only hurts the response of the sub.

Once you pull out the water out of steak you cut down it's weight by 2-3x. 3lbs of el cheapo steak at $5/lb to yield a solid pound of jerky is $15 worth of jerky. Plus time etc...
