I got so excited about the w4 that I missed the TV aspect. There is NO fullrange PERIOD that will work for that....unless you only want one person to hear things. The sweet spot on my 4" FR's is about 3". If I move my head 3" forward, backwards or to the side the sound gets really wonky. I am also completely confused now at where you plan on placing these. If they aren't on both sides of the TV that will be tough as well. I would also argue that for what you describe as the need you should be building 3 speakers and not just 2. You are going to need a center.

ALL 4" full rangers require a crossover. That is a HUGE frequency range for any cone to play. The w4's are awesome.

Those drivers can run full range but they need a hefty crossover. Sound like utter ass running full range without them. I run a pair in my office. Have about $200 into crossover components IIRC.
