  1. Not sure, here for sure. Has to start at -30F...
  2. Actually it is normally mpg not L/100k. I was giving a ridiculous answer. Best case my BIL's Ford F250 diesel gets 21-22mpg (11L/100)on summer diesel, in the winter it is closer to 8mpg (29L/100) - which is better than I get towing my boat.
  3. About 1
  4. So BBK for $4-4.5k (Wilwood, StopTech whatever) or Z06 brakes with a handmade (local hot rod shop) adapter to hold the caliper for $2.5k. Concerned without a kit the bias and balance won't be as good, nor will the brakes themselves.
  5. We rate our cars in gallons per mile.
  6. I don't think we've had more than 4" in the past few years.
  7. Impious posted the equation for creating your own low pass filter. With a known Re and chosen Frequency you can determine the type of Inductor to use when building a simple 6db LP filter. Conveniently (and inconveniently if you don't want a roll off) the driver has an intrinsic inductance. This inductance and of course its impedance will create a natural LP filter. Most modelling software by default does not include this roll off unless you add it in the filter portion of the software meaning you will see no roll off in the response. As for the store bought rolls of wire, they wouldn't be my first choice as an inductor but if they measure appropriately you will get a 1st order roll off.

Not really. A ported box uses helmholz resonance to reinforce the output. There is no reinforcement in a sealed enclosure. Q is a term used to describe the damping and while the effect of a not so critically damped speaker can change the output, the relation isn't really the same.

Bracing is more important than 45's. WAY. Doesn't mean it will help the OP in his application though.
  10. Wasn't sarcastic or rude. Completely serious. Isn't it right to assume you think and do things right? Thought you were actually trying to learn. If you read it differently, why not actually put yourself into a different frame of thought when you read my posts. They are to help you learn by making you think, reading extra into it isn't needed. If you had crossed things over there would basically be no equation necessary as impedance is frequency dependent. Since you didn't the only answer is to be concerned about the area's where ALL drivers are pulling current in the frequency range. There is a reason that a nominal 8ohm tweet and mid when used together with a crossover are still 8ohms.
  11. They aren't really 6 either. How did you cross them over without knowing?

Any shape works. Just multiply the INTERIOR dimensions together (in inches), subtract the volume of the sub and divide by 1728 (12x12x12) and you will have the cubic feet.
  13. Drivers would help...
  14. Damn near the same power to weight ratio as my NA snowmobile engine
  15. We've got nice snow and I have a misfiring sled. Think it is in the cap. I've trimmed and shortened and it works for a few minutes then goes south again.

Kicker stuff generally likes a tuned box that is tuned a bit high.
  17. What didn't I say? Huh? Nothing about the speakers. It is very possible to wire two 4 ohm speakers in parallel together and still have a load approximating 4 ohms... Depending on the speakers the calculation is V
  18. I mean work in one, not own
  19. Parents either worked on a farm or owned a brewery
  20. Showing video of bars in Eric Decker's hometown on the idiot box. REALLY close to my wives fam. Sad.
  21. First play of the game
  22. That took a while
  23. Only playing to 300ish Hz so angle away
  24. Should add I didn't watch any of that, just a quick google. More seriously use any non dry solvent and wipe it off and you are fine.
