The accuracy of that test may be so bad that it isn't even a generalization of what power was made. We aren't nitpicking on 10w here or there but HUGE percentages in the actual value reported. If you really don't rudimentary understand testing or measuring you have no business deciding jack shit about anything that is ever engineered for audio reproduction. Please go calculate the uncertainty of each and every part of the measurement chain and stack them up. You'll shit.

I should have read ahead That could house a pair of 10's. Could passively cross one to only be midbass and use the other as a midbass/midrange and benefit from cone area and response. You may be better off with 8's though in that alignment. 10's will dig deeper and blend with your subs more easily, but the upper midrange won't be as nice. Are your horns already installed? If so, do some critical listening to determine really how low you can acceptably have them play.

A ported enclosure is 100% necessary if you running PA stuff. The 600Hz is extremely optimistic, double that much better but a bit lower perhaps at lower levels. A pair of 8's run in a 2.5 configuration ported or a single 10 would be a way better choice than a 12. Real question then becomes how much enclosure space can you fit as that will determine possible driver size.

That and IMO you are looking for the wrong things. In general a low xmax driver will sound much better in a 2 way. I still wouldn't do a 12 2 way though. The real question is why a 12? Seems to me you need something that plays from 50-1kHz or so. A 12 will never do that and off axis it is even hard for an 8.

And PLEASE don't take that as you should use a DMM for gain setting or anything like that. The correlation is that DMM's measure voltage, oscilloscopes measure voltage and show the waveform. Seeing the waveform is more of less useless when "playing around" with an amplifier so the value is the same. I'd still like to know what you mean by playing around.
