  1. These were a present, from Kicker
  2. Then my question has exactly as much pertinence as yours.
  3. What is the best flavor of soda?
  4. I've never had a reasonable garage stereo. Don't know what the fuck I was thinking. Furnace/home automation room butts up against it too. Down a story, but that is just a hole in the brick foundation away from being connected worst case.
  5. Sweet. Sister is moving, emptied out her basement and returned my L7 and Kicker 6.5's. Conveniently I had built a quick box for them since they were to throw up on the back deck of their boat while swimming. Sounds like a garage stereo upgrade to me. Now to see if I gamble on my amp being 4 ohm stable or buy something dedicated or pull another circuit and run the Adcom/Crown.
  6. Thanks, I will. Still looking for suggestions. Suggestions to fix what?On what I should use with what. Should I get an amp that does more power for the mids? Which LOC's should I be using? I explaind all of this in the first post. Please re-read it. "No" is not helpful at all. And now you understand why I answered no. You have given us NOTHING to go on. If you think your system is perfect DO NOT change it at all. If it isn't perfect then we can't help unless you can describe what you want to fix.I guess you can't read. Take a look at the first post again. ROFL, can you read your first paragraph err random pattern of unrelated sentences?

  9. I already have a completely working system though...fuck 2 ways Running a DDC with that Vifa is not a working system, sure it plays music but that is about it.
  10. Sorry, I typed passive and meant active. The Focal drivers in that set are a joke compared to what you can buy when you buy them separate. Since you got a smoking deal, flip them
  11. If you are running them active then buy just normal DIY drivers. WAY, WAY, WAY better than that set for less than you have invested. WAY. I'd buy the v8 car and make purists mad. Wouldn't be putting the 12 in or probably any BM'er motor. I just LOVE the chassis and ride. edit: typed passive instead of active
  12. If I buy one it'll get a motor swap nearly right away That set works WAY better if all the drivers are mounted very close together. Passive and 3 way in a car generally speaking is not a good idea. Personally I think you would be better off with a 2 way if that is your mounting locations. Love the cars though. We need pics!!
  13. Morons will be morons. And that includes anyone that puts ANY merit into a "clamp" test.
  14. Where are you mounting the Focals in that car? I've almost bought one about 10 times including a couple weeks ago.
  15. There is no correlation between ported and boominess unless you suck at box design. I also don't see how you are going to install those Focal's in an 850, not really the right space IMO. You may be much better off selling them since you bought them for a steal and buying something optimal for the car. Location is always the first thing to determine before shopping.
  16. Both sleds I own, I will own for a while. Nothing "new" has come out and I never buy anything that isn't at least two years old so it'll be at least 3 years.

I have an external dac for mine...
  18. Is your max EXACTLY 6.5"? Bolt patterns and outer frames are not so standard in the DIY world, recommending something or offering something that fits would make sense. I have nothing in a 6.5" as the choices are dismal compared to 7's although some 7's are closer to 6.5...
  19. I am leaving out the 5hrs+ of "smoke" breaks and internet research time. Thank god Polaris is nice enough to have their parts microfiche available to the web Shit like this is HELPFUL
  20. And Matt, it isn't work when it is fun. I NEED some garage night projects, but I shouldn't have waited so long. I didn't allocate time for a machine shop to press on bearings & do a hone, nor the powder coat which set me back 3 weeks. Otherwise she'd be nearly ready to roll. To do list that is left: Rivet on cooler - 1hr Wash sled - 20m Assemble front suspension - 1hr Replace all bolts in rear suspension (should arrive Monday) - 30m Install gas tank & seat - 2hr (20m if I am lucky) Put the motor together - whopping 20 bolts or so, lol - 1hr (again 20m...) Clean up wiring - 1hr Install motor - 45m Install front end and skis - 30m Break the bitch in -
  21. It isn't at the expense of quality and performance since those options are both price dependent. As for your analogy, BMW in their M series and other manufacturers have long changed intake and exhaust routing to increase the engine noise in cabin. Adding paddles would be stupid of course, but the market would never say that is a good idea.
  22. Rode my other sled 100mi yesterday otherwise the front end or engine would be back together too. Instead, it sits in a box in the house
  23. This one will have ALL the updates of the 2014 model with a fresh engine and fully fresh bearings add a better track, better shock valving, better gauges, handlebar riser, better bars, better throttle block, longer rails, bogeys, ski's etc. I am not getting rid of this one for a long time. At some point it will be delegated to my second sled, but that'll be a while. For a backup I really prefer to have an old simple sled with a carburettor. Nothing exotic and all super EASY parts to get anywhere. That and it will be quicker, more responsive and more fun than any sled sold in any dealer in the country. And obviously WAY cheaper to build one than to buy.

Being the outside of the screen is flat and style of mount that sandwiches will work. Would have been the easiest screen mount in a cayenne. 1 piece of wood, routed, then cut and 4 holes drilled and stock mounts would have worked.
