Also won't be able to, 2" ers have no balls. A vertical array of a pair of them may be interesting depending on the pillar. If I had to choose a 2 or a tweet I'd probably do the tweet. None of the downfalls of the FR with the capability to play low enough to blend with the Extremis. Vette was never Mg, had some Mg in it. Currently it is using the single largest hydroformed piece of alum in the world as part of its frame. Cool that they implemented shape memory alloy in the venting system for the rear hatch as well. If you don't know what shape memory alloys are it is worth a google. Super fucking cool. I've been working with a few Nasa spin offs that are making a solid state airplane (ie no motors to run the wings or engine, but it will fly).

The only generic answer is to get them as close to the woofers as possible, as far from your ears as possible, up as high as possible, as equal distant as possible, and away from all reflecting planes. In a car the above is not possible so then it comes down to compromises. Your car will determine the compromises, but compromising on the least of the above is a good starting point.

Doing some work with active noise cancellation utilizing the audio systems of cars as well. That is public, the techniques however are not.

The different colors above signify different materials. For instance the dash assembly in the MDX is magnesium, the vette/rover all aluminum. On the Silvy it is mostly different tensile strength steel. ALL of it has to be verified for structural integrity and optimized for NVH behavior. Generically speaking that is what we do.
