1. Wow that's cool. I'm guessing that is was about 17 or 18 years ago for my visit to Italy. And about all I seen there was pasta and pizza ... and some VERY expensive beer Didn't drink coffee back then. I really couldn't believe how awful the food was...of course the meals you could have IF you paid for them were great, but dropping $200 for a meal on non-spectular food pisses me off.
2. And I am jealous that caffeine works on you guys. Does nothing for me Well it does what all warm beverages do late in the evening, puts me to sleep.
3. Fixored. Definitely a sign of shitty coffee when it tastes bad black. Tell tale sign of stale beans.
4. Me either. But when you get older and work graveyard shift like me, you learn to depend on it ... Its not if I like it or not, it's trying to keep myself awake at night ... That is tough. And one of the reasons I like cold press. I cannot drink hot coffee on the run all day. I will sweat too much. And espresso makes me sit and enjoy, so I cannot have that all day. Although I am thinking about bringing a machine to work. My Nespresso machine would rock it out at work. And maybe catpture some guests. If you want a real cold press, go visit Victory 44
5. only pod system that brews anything worth drinking imo,. Pods have the advantage of having the air vacuumed out greatly extending the shelf life. Even though my shit only last a week or two I vac seal it as well
6. I am also constantly amazed at the lack of home etc training in this country'. Our school system does not prepare us for life at all
7. About 15 years ago I went to Italy'. I found shuitty food, shitty wine and amazing fucking coffee. Spent the next years figuring out how to improve everyday of my life and get closer to what they have everywhere.
8. It is optimum about 3 days after roast. By day 8 I need to adjust the grind, by 2 weeks it is hard to get the grind right and at 3 weeks you absolutely cannot extract goodness out of the beans anymore.
9. Stale coffee is fucking awful. It's enough to where if I've ground more than 10 minutes before the grounds go into the trash. Just not worth swallowing shit when it can be heavenly.
10. Umm, you forgot the step that creates the flavor and the situation. Beans are roasted. Green beans have an extremely long shelf life, once roasted it's days. Yes, I buy mine green for this reason and yes I've done blind testing and it is a HOLY FUCKING SHIT I can't believe the difference reaction.
11. Link was too good when you show us ground coffee. The problem is that it is pre-ground. Once you grind your beans lose most of their life in minutes, not hours or days. Hell, unground once roasted they are basically shot 2 weeks post roast. Once ground it is nuts how fast they go bad.
12. Well now that I've had the tablet running for 3 minutes it is time to root it and wipe it. Oh, and Asus Nexus > Sam Tab 2...by a lot. SO MUCH snappier.
13. Just use a french press and let it sit overnight? Not sure about where y'all are from but we drink a ton of coffee around here. I normally drink http://www.communitycoffee.com/product/Gourmet-Coffee/Dark-Roast/12oz-Ground-Louisiana-Blend or http://www.communitycoffee.com/product/Our-Traditional-Coffee/All-Coffee-and-Chicory/12oz-Ground-Coffee-and-Chicory we drink a lot of chicory down here ah yes, le cafard http://www.foodrenegade.com/your-coffee-has-ground-up-bugs/

17. I don't make cold press, not that I don't lik it buthat is one aspect of coffee I can't help with
18. Stefan, here you go. It has to be better than your hot chocolate. I mean fuck, it's bulletproof. http://www.bulletproofexec.com/how-to-make-your-coffee-bulletproof-and-your-morning-too/
19. Ha, it is a laptop
20. Didn't know they made an 8 foot sub. Generally speaking a single ported 8" sub doesn't make sense as the box ends up being big due to the port. Better off running something larger sealed if you are trying to minimize your box size.
21. I'm buying a new track for about $700
22. Out of my element. Have a high school buddy who epitomizes shit as luck. Car died today. Has about $3k to spend. Reliable, safe, low cost of ownership are what he should be after...

I'm at a loss, can't believe how much even older high mileage iron goes for these days.
