  1. Actually depending on the Adcom it may have a trigger in the back for that purpose. My older one does.
  2. Relay. What voltage does the trigger on the DVR output?
  3. Their website lists it as a non-Turbo, but Autotrader as one. Price at $49k it better be a Turbo...
  4. Dying to know how much depth I have for the 8 in the door...
  5. Best part if I go that route is that I can sell the stock unit for more than the replacement. This one will NOT be going back to stock so the old stuff will go while it has value.
  6. Porsche dealer just took in a Black 2008 Turbo ChiliPepper. Guess I know what I am doing tomorrow.
  7. Not a 100% sure yet. I have until December to finish this as that is when my lease is up. Not even yet sure I am getting a car that needs one. My last two Porsche drives were not compelling.
  8. My impression of the 06 was they stole some of BMW's persona when they built the car. The next generation is even worse in that regard. Refinement is almost going too far as it isolates the driver. Still brilliant cars though.

Since you were going to build a couple enclosures anyway, build a test box that is large, use an external port and change the volume internally by adding stuff into it. Then you can test tons of variations.
  10. I would have questions when I do my car PC.I am not doing a carPC as the Nav systems for cars blow goats. This will be Android based.Really curious how you are making it work. Particularly the volume overlay. Is this piggybacking off another system? Would you use the Android tablet as a front end then run the audio directly into a PC?Pretend the PC doesn't exist. The PC for me will only be so I can run 3 way active, ie a more flexible replacement for a miniDSP. Found a PC for basically the same price as the mini so why not I don't have it all figured out. I need a different tablet as the Tab 2 will not allow the use of a USB hub and that is a pre-requisite as the steering wheel controls, FM Antenna, Hard drive, backup camera and other peripherals will be USB.
  11. KFAN atm <img data-cke-saved-src="http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png" src="http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png" class="bbc_emoticon" title=":)" /> ...and the antenna seems to be passive.
  12. have radio on my tablet
  13. Fuck, Barry's got the curse
  14. I know NONE of those
  15. I have no rec'd in town, I haven't liked anyone I've known anyone use.
  16. KFAN baby
  17. Your car is totalled
  18. Looking good baller.The multi-button I built to match
  19. Between then and now, I mowed, used the weed whip, shoveled the rocks strewn all over my driveway, and blew leaves and schtuff.

  21. Sweet. FM antenna adapter for my tablet arrived today. Now I get to see if I can truly make the Droid work as a fully functional front end for a car. I've already figured out: Steering wheel controls Blue tooth dialing (need a parrot or the like for audio) Overlays with volume controls on all screens Voice command GPS Rear camera Internet Instant on boot time USB HDD storage for all music/video Wireless screen mirroring for rear video And a bunch of other things. Going to add a PC for safe measure as well. This will allow me rather flexible crossovers...and the potential to upgrade if Windows 8 ever supports Google Maps. I just fucking hope that the FM reception and such is acceptable as at my age I listen to a fair amount of talk radio.

It is. Adjustable ports do NOT need to be octo and they just add extra work for ZERO benefit. The easiest is of course external and if it is temporary that is a perfect solution.
  23. The rt - n12 is one of the most open routers. It's one of the reasons I bought it. I haven't installed DDWRT but mi sure I will at some point. When you do I'm interested in how it goes as I need to, just don't have time to figure it out this week.I'm sorry I missed this. You and mike have the same one? If they are both open like that you will be able to boost and modify your bandwidth and strength. Something irregular is Fucking with your signal Sean. Or you device is the opposite of optimized. Of maybe you did get a lemon. Your signal to lost signal issue spread over all your devices means something is causing the problem. WRT or tomato should help you work it out. Especially if fuck hole d-link worked for you. Indeed, the dlink was free at microcenter

    ...adjustable port...
  25. Actually don't mind the voices, but they need to learn how to make a bass line. Not lacking in output, shit in my office was shaking, but no life.
