  1. Mechanical wreck too. My buddy had one that got lemon'd
  2. I said it was stupid, but I'd ask how you stitch it when it's tight.
  3. Lifting your seat first and then measuring carefully. After that start driver shopping.
  4. I asked a somewhat stupid question. Do you stitch that and then put it on or stitch the leather together as it is wrapped around the wheel. I don't really understand how either would work as getting tension on it has to be a bitch. Looks great btw
  5. Rained here today, but snowing at the farm. I'm going blizzard chasing!
  6. Do you stitch that together in place on the wheel?? Either way, wow.
  7. you will get help just start at step 1 and not step 5
  8. Driven aggressively it is not at all my choice.
  9. Why not an E63/M5/M6 or the like. Way better daily car. You lose AWD, but snow tires work great.
  10. Well the viper is more my preference. I was trying to be non biased.looked at those too, but i think the Porsche fits me better. awd, turbo, small and handles like its on rails.. With a driver that actually knows how to drive the gen three viper tear the the 966 a new one on the track. Although the GT3 will give the viper a workout if its not the ACR model. But that is what the car was designed for. For the track. They are two completely different driving experiences. If I was going to be driving through town in traffic going to work I would want the 911. If I was cruising on the weekend with a little track time now and then I'd take the viper hands down. Hopefully ill be back in a viper by Xmas this year. itll be my DD so i think this is the best option between a cayman S or an m3.Cayman is teh boring, 911 would be a good daily driver, but so would the M3. Coming off of what you drive they will all seem heavenly.

  12. Oddly enough I was in a presentation by some Borg Warner folks on the same day.You weren't in Asheville were you? If it was Diesel Turbo related, that is the group.
  13. The sub wasn't peaky, it was the box you designed. Stop blaming a woofer for doing what you told it to do. I'm not recommending everyone go out and buy Kicker gear, but they fit a niche and what they do they actually do pretty well. All the anti-hype is misplaced based on poor information and installation. How easy you all forget that installation is MORE important than the equipment. if it was an enclosure for me i would have designed it to have less of a peak, but the guy wanted it loud on low notes, so he got it. I should have said i built it a little peaky for my taste, but the l7s do get loud easy. it was pretty loud for one 12 and was pretty close, if not louder, than this one guy who had 4 l7 15s on two 2500.1s and my manager at the time thought kicker was complete garbage after that he had heard that but I tried to tell him it was just a terrible install. He did not believe me until i built a box for one. So you liked it and it wasn't "terrible" like you stated in your previous post. Imagine that.
  14. Goal and "list" don't at all match. Absolutely idiotic to choose power before the box and goals. And without both of those NO ONE can help you "pick"
  15. Wouldn't be my first choice as a drivers car, but could be worse.
  16. So sexy.defeats the purpose imo.
  17. You should see Ray's motorcycle collection. Snake oil obviously is a good business
  18. Actually similar, but that alone is ridiculous.
  19. And I thought these looked like toys. The ones for snowmobiles are bigger and that is for a 600cc engine. ;P
  20. F150's Was working with the design team for them today. On something completely unrelated though.
  21. Bracing and doubling baffles do not help with SPL, but they are a good idea. The more the better. I'd do both for a single 8. In a car you can reach a law of diminishing returns, but erring on the side of minimizing coloration due to flex and panel modes is a good idea.
  22. Your car and your box surely may not correlate in where they peak. In fact, IMO it sounds like ass. Of course it can help to utilize that information in competition but for music it sucks.
  23. ?????? You ask questions with no information on what or why you want to do something. What you ask will lead you down the wrong path. ALWAYS start with a description of your goals, budget, potential box size, etc. Helps to type in sentences and English that is easy to read. All the ???? just makes you look lost and makes no one want to respond, this is compounded by the lack of information you shared.
