  1. Those are dumb. They mount to the door card and not to the door. Defeats the purpose. Uber easy to fit stuff in the nbs doors
  2. Exotic cones (ie non-paper, lol) have resonances that are much harder to tame. Not particularly easy for a first time, although not a big deal if you use your ear. Your first choices were much better in that regard.
  3. Thought, Jesus hell you must love watermelon
  4. Googling I thought it was a type of watermelon, lol
  5. Better combo here than the Dayton's above. http://zaphaudio.com/ZMV5.html Next step up price wise in drivers would be the Dayton Ref's, but the crossover components will kill you quick with exotic cones. Even the non-exotics in that price range have some breakup to tame that unless you go a bit more all out become a law of diminishing returns quickly. The Peerless has a very tameable peak as well, if another 5.5 is in the running: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=264-1078 All depends on your compromises, budget makes it tough for me as my price point is usually a bit higher
  6. Mirai is a new one to me.
  7. <-knows jack shit about that
  8. Damn lake front why art thou so unaffordable
  9. Just realized others may like a link, but a quick CA18rnx or P Exclusive would be a nice addition.
  10. Ultra easy and capable driver to "point and click on" Again, not really point & click, lol. Sounded to me like you could nearly fit a large format. In particular when you look in more detail at the dimensions and see how big the flanges are. If so, I'd not buy a neo. As for the Silver Flute you can make destroy most comp sets, but it is a point where spending a little more wouldn't suck. *please just state the driver model number instead of a link. I hate clicking on stuff.
  11. I like to split my load.
  12. Can? Sure. Should? Absolutely not, terrible idea. Pick one or the other. If that doesn't work sell them both and buy something else.
  13. If an idiot does something dumb, do you want to copy them? Not sure how the herd mentality follows suit with tweedle-de, but it seems to happen. Just look at all the misapplied 4th order BP boxes. Similar mentality.
  14. Sweet. Just about to land in Minny. Get to see the boys before they sleep and the snow before the light is gone.
  15. By 6.5" is that absolute? Checkout some of the 7" home drivers and see if you can make them fit.
  16. Come on, it's Ford tough
  17. lots of disadvantages in the center
  18. 75+ in my ranger miss big time
  19. Actually shitty boxes that aren't designed for the driver at hand are. These are well built and drivers can easily be selected for their parameters.
  20. Actually, no you don't. Best thing you can do is to NOT fill that space with more speakers. Adding them would be a net negative.Well then what do you propose? This would be a good start

  22. Your system is going to sound super sweet without a source unit!
  23. Thanks guys. ....and wtf is the three dancing milks?
  24. Return them. Stupid and useless buy for what you have. Can't use them.
  25. Could use one on Sat. Going on a banzai rip down the ditches to put on some last minute winter miles.
