upgrading truck sound system
no processing...do i need something like that or not? im not doing and fab,i saw a nice box that everyone reccomonds for under the seat my first plans wasto go sub-less but i may go two 10's or two 12'sI guess I misunderstood your request. From all your threads it looked to me like you were trying to build something that sounds good without a sub. Now you are talking about stuffing 2 12's where they WON'T fit without some fab, but you aren't doing any fab. If you want a Silvy to sound good you need to do some fab work. If you want it to sound good without a sub you need to do a fair amount. Paying someone to do it would eat your whole budget. Stepping it down a notch can be done, but you are so all over the place it is impossible to tell. $1k max, but you'll spend $850 on h/u. No subs, but then $900 budget for subs. Obviously what I thought you were trying to do I don't know and am not sure you do either. Really hard to help you with all the variables and no details on what you need to accomplish. In stock form the Silverado is a bomb that swallows gear. Deadened and setup they turn out rather nice, staging is tough but nothing that some kicks can't resolve.

I found the right splined tool today for $5, got the cassette changed without a chainwhip. Bearings were in surprisingly good condition after this winter's commute. Gave the chainring a good clean and also cleaned up the "new" brakes. I need to find a day to install the brakes and brake cables until next Sunday when the season opener for the MTB championship takes place. 4 or 5 laps on a 2.3 mile track. I'm going this Sunday with some co-workers to check out the track. And then it's tire shopping time Would be cool to take my 20+ year old bike and whoop some expensive bike arse WHoop 'em. I also ride a 1993 mtb. Road bike is 10 years older I smoke people all the time. Cables take a half hour maybe, not a day. Make sure you lubricate the new ones first as they don't come that way and it is way easier before assembly.

truck system
You can fit a ported 12" with some effort, sealed 12" without a ton. Both require a "seat lift" but that can just be a spacer block. If this is part of your budget though the driver and amp for it are going to eat a chunk.

What processing do you have or is that part of the dough? How much fab are you doing or is part of your budget for that as well? Are you truly going subless? ...and so on.

Fuck you. I am in the shithole known as Orange County. Not coming back until Friday night late when everything is supposed to be melted.Oh shit I didn't know!!! As for best snow, is powdery snow what is the best? It isn't super fluffy, but definitely what I enjoy snowboarding in. Not a lot of sticky clumping, but still has a tiny bit of substance. I know you didn't. Just frustrated. I was gone for the big Dec snow, the best snow in Feb I missed and now March. Out for a STUPID meeting and annoyance in my life as well.

1 brand whole system ??
Bordering on stupidest thread ever. I would do exactly the opposite. Sort of like asking if you had to eat 10 lbs of shit or get punched in the nuts by Brock Lesnar and you had $5000 when you did it what would you do. If someone gave me $5k to buy audio gear from one brand I'd pick the one withe highest resale and pocket as much of the $5k as I could.

No, but I wouldn't put fake tires on my Ferrari either. Protein for me comes in the form of meat, nuts, and the like.

Other than the lack of being rebuildable LX stuff is bombproof. Google DIY Chainwhip if you can't find one locally....oh, and how the fuck can a local bike store not have one? Takes .2 seconds to do and even if you only buy a new tube there they should do it for free.

The best was the delay as the color rolled out of his face and then he smirked. She did the same. Regrettably I never did get to cream in her coffee.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Reminds me of being in Jr. High. Was working some church function pouring coffee. My friend was offering sugar and cream. Ultra hot milf I just filled and he walks up completely flustered and says, "can I cream in your coffee". More than 20 years later every time anyone offers me cream I see his and her face.

Moot point. No proaudio worth a damn anywhere near that price and either way it isn't the cure. In that budget just go buy some used speakers

Going to need more than $250 to do a 3 way. Amplifier channels and processing will more than eat that up. 4 8's will need a box.... A single 12" ported would do you better btw.

No box and bass is tough. Midbass response in the doors is pretty good in Silverado's so a monster 3 way front stage could get you 90% there
