  1. Taking the boys out on the sled sounds fun to me. Tanner isn't even 2...
  2. Fuck. Looks like my winter is over. Supposed to get some snow Monday while I am in CA, but then hit 40's before I return. I "could" sneak away for a night ride this weekend, but my wife is out of town which means I need to do something with the boys and that sounds like a bumble fuck for a 50mi outing.
  3. All leather is key
  4. Sock stuffing freaks
  5. I've seen women wear padding, not men.
  6. Please don't make two threads on exactly the same topic. NVX or Cubed, we get it. All replies go here: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/58465-nvx-audio-any-experiance/
  7. CEA compliance means nothing. Terrible standard. I wouldn't consider the Soundqubed, but have an amp that has the same board as the NVX. Again personally I'd spend a few bucks more for the PPI/Polk/Hertz version of it.
  8. Ah, power shits My hamstrings and butt are battered 3 days after power shits. You should get yourself checked out
  9. Imagine that. That site is full of shit. Think its what the s stands for
  10. Fuck. Our snow is shot. Just rode 30mi to lunch and my shit isbgetting hot
  11. I suspect that you'll find some frequencies akin to crying that you may not like. The rest however is absolutely awesome. Congrats!
  12. They copied my air cannons! That's a huge bong Neal
  13. Safety toe is required. Figured, but the word boots was used and outside of hiking and comfort I'm lost. Thought I'd highlight what I consider boots though
  14. We've been doing that for more than 20 years. No stupid video tricks either but actually measuring motion. I'm shocked they think it's a breakthrough.
  15. If you don't need steel toe there are a plethora of great hiking boots that are all significantly better for your feet than the ones listed so far IMO. I somewhat lied when I posted the Klim boots. I also have a pair of Lowa's which are super. If my foot were shorter there are other options too: La Sportiva, Zamberlan, Scarpa, Salewa, Garmont, Montrail, Boreal. Just not many made in sizes upwards of 50.
  16. Two options for processors. Ones that you can control and tweak with your headunit and ones that you cannot. Considering you will be tweaking for months having it up front is very nice. If you regularly carry a laptop and that is an acceptable way of changing settings there are other options. For where you are in this process I would lean towards an active capable headunit or at least a mated pair so that you can adjust from the drivers seat right up front. I'd also have a tendency to buy something used.
  17. When I wear boots, it is these:
  18. Sandals or bust
  19. That was my other option when I bought my car. Problem is they haven't depreciated a 1$ since Dec 2010. Stupid I didn't buy one. Now the new ones fetch way too much dough to be on the drawing board when my lease is up in Dec .....this kind of surprises me. When I first started looking into vehicles, I liked the cayenne. But they took Porche from the #1-2 spot for reliable, to one of the worst. All due to chilli pepper issues. What surprises me is your post. When I was shopping they were still number 1. I see some not so positive news now though. It was my #1 go to pick until I read all the problems. Same with the one 996 I fell in love with. Just about the only year to have a problem.... What years?

Don't count on "box rise" to do anything.
  21. Oh come on. Gas tank holes are FUN!
  22. Torn intestine in three places including a really good rip. Alive and kicking, sore as hell, and still in Thief River Falls with his girlfriend. Stupid fluke of a fall too. Maybe going 10 mph and the snow just fell out from underneath the machine, he tried to ride it out and it rolled him into a street sign. Sled missed the sign, his stomach caught it and bent it the fuck over. Man, I had a buddy die in an eerily similar fashion, albeit it involved a 4 wheeler and Damn bear invisible guid wire. He bled out during one of his surgeries. I hope no issues arise with your buddy. He just got released! All is well.
  23. Tuning will become the most time consuming. Might take months to dial things in. That may be a benefit though. Impious's advice at starting cheap is a great one. Can't tell what you don't like about things until you have something. Then it is easier to make recommendations. In the right hands a pair of $20 drivers can outperform a $800 component set as well, so don't let the $$ fool you. You need to determine your mounting constraints and what you will use for processing before shopping for drivers. ie, what diameter, how deep, where is it aiming etc....and you need to share. Picking drivers is ALWAYS dependent on install. WAY more important than the box on the sub even and you know how that goes.
  24. I've got a couple of the Polk versions and they are fine. NVX wasn't out when I bought them, but I still probably would have spent the extra $10 each.
  25. I'd only own it certified though so I could beat the living shit out of it.
