  1. What does get louder mean to you? The meter may or may not reflect the subjectivity of your request.

I too sleep in an REI branded bag. REI tent as well. Absolutely no complaints.
  3. Or more easily stated a drivers parameters are just that, they are the parameters of the driver. ie, you can't change them by doing something unless you alter the driver. Nothing external can change this. This means connecting them in any way to any amplifier. The reason everyone asked you questions is you didn't actually asked your question but used an implied, yet off base reference. If you want a simple answer, ask a simple question. In this case all it would have taken is: Do T/S parameters of a driver change if I wire two 8ohm drivers into a 4 ohm configurations? The answer would be, no. One thing I think you should do for sure is save some budget to pay someone qualified to help you tune. It'll be worth it.

While a 1 person will be warmer when alone the versatility of a 2 person adds WAY more long term utility. I'm so fucking tall though my 2 person is a 3 person otherwise my feet get wet.

Lately it's been getting down to 32ish at home, so I'll try it out beforehand. Curious to find out if their rating is comfortable or survival. I bet you'll be seriously cold in a 20F bag at 32F....or at least that is more normal. I use a 40F bag down to about 10F then I'm no longer really interested with the gear I have.
  6. While this is the one valid reason for a 4th order bandpass, utilizing two 8's isn't really such a logical choice. Small ported boxes end up not being small.
  7. As I have said twice now, the amount amperage and voltage being outputted from the amplifiers will not be changed just how the coils distribute everything is supposedly changed. We will see if anything happens with this, if so good. If not oh well, maybe at least they will stay cooler while I play. The coils are covered VERY well by V=I/R. So the only supposed change is confusion on your part.

You are going to puke at the price of real grinders. Hard to find anything worth a shit under $250 Only an idiot would spend $250 on a coffee grinder, and I don't care how "good" it is--that's ridiculous. That's for a shitty one. No, the shitty one is the one I bought at Macy's for $30. Has yet to touch a coffee bean, though... I've got a spinner as well. $15 though. Never seen coffee, but gets used a couple times a week.

I read that as cats ship out. In that case, yes I've ordered from Intelligentsia. Good stuff. If you really meant shit, I've never even heard of it.

Profit margin is smaller than on optics, by a lot. They start to make money in the >$1k grinders. Not a whole lot of difference between the Rio and Super Jolly for instance. Enough to make a significance in a cup. As for the "don't drink coffee" and save money. Put this in perspective. I drink coffee & water with an occasional juice. Water is RO and "free", coffee is uber cheap. Who else doesn't drink a few beverages they pay for daily? Hell a glass of milk costs more than it costs me to make a coffee EVEN if you amortize my gear over the time I've owned it and not look into the future.

And I know you are fucking with me, but it's the hop so I'll respond anyways.

Btw, this is what a cappuccino looks like. Not the dry monstrosities they serve at most coffee shops.

$100 for the SJ, $40 for burrs. Used they normally go for $500. Works SWEET. I don't roast beans, but I buy them green and my father roasts them. That is another thing about coffee. You have a VERY short window post roasting to drink them. They mature at around 3 days and start to go south around 2 weeks. At 3 weeks old they are garbage. Once ground they last less than an hour when exposed to air.

That is what happens when you use a shitty grinder.

So here's the breakdown. I used to be able to walk to a Dunn Bros. Went 1-3x a day. $2-4 a pop. Over the past 8 years, I've spent about $2200 on coffee making equipment. $300 I should get back, net otd $1900. Here's a math question for you. Was I an idiot for spending nearly $2k on coffee gear?

Check out Home Barista and Coffee Geek forums to see real reviews. I haven't heard of that, but there is an $800 grinder sitting on my counter. I've got a $400 one in a box that I am ebaying as well since it makes a terrible cup in comparison. Absolute horseshit when tasted side by side.

Then they buy the exact same model as before with a total investment less than yours, and the new one doesn't break. That would be ironic. I hear ya though. I was super adamant about not spending a lot on glass, and some assholes kept telling me it was worth the investment. Well it turns out they were right. And the cheap grinder to good grinder is even more of a difference then in glass.

And you can't get any sort of texture or mouth feel in a french press without a conical burr grinder. Typically that means > 1/4hp and if the burrs are less than 30mm across the grind is pretty much useless.

What is asinine or idiotic is spending $2+ a day at the local coffee shop.

It effects ALL coffee. Grinder is to coffee what installation is to car audio.

Really hard to get an even grind without it, and without an even grind you don't get your espresso. Maybe one of those hand crank turkish style could. But I don't know. Good hand grinders are more than $150
