ie, a small format pc. Not a miniPC per se, but same sort of thing.

Very true, I want to use my Galaxy Tab 10.1 VZW edition.. but it's just a hair too big for my dash. Built in 4g/3g +wifi + Gps would be PERFECT, Only issues would be that the volume/power knobs are on the side. probably could fab something up to push the buttons.. or go directly to the board and extend them to the front of the dash.. I could sell it for what I got it for (200$) but I don't think I could get much better for the price/size/options. I personally would never use the volume control on a tab anyways. Analog control ftw. Add a minidSP and you have both.

IMO that'd be dumb. MiniPC gives you WAY more freedom. Carputer without the capability of serious custom DSP capability is completely backwards. Might as well just run a tablet if you are looking at Apple stuff.

All science is either physics or stamp collecting. ~Ernest Rutherford Can't cook meth with Physics. 'Nuff said. Not if you suck at Physics. ALL Chem was determined and developed by Physicists. In fact I think every reaction and interaction that ever happens in Chem can be mathematically proven in about 2 pages of Physics. Applying it of course isn't so easy.

Pretty hard to see the GPS screen through that... http://www.pelican.c....php?Case=i1015 If pelican don't make it no one does Hmm, definitely an option. I was looking for something I could use the touchscreen though. The Ram Aquabox just doesn't come in the right size and the Buybit enclosures look a wee bit cheap. I already have a full RAM setup for the sled so it'd just be attaching it away to that.

What size knobby do you need? In the winter I run chains and studs usually, but play on ice a lot. 26x2.something I tried zipties quickly today but they catch on the brakes, since I didn't have time to get the brakes out of the way. With 9-10 inches of powder I really need good traction, it doesn't work with only the front studded. Pretty much ANY mountain bike tire will work that isn't a 29'er. Are you using a studbacker strip? Personally I really like the chains as well. Both studs and chains are a bit unpredictable on raw cement, but the combo on ice is sweet. For snow really you just need to be in the right gear and be diligent.

Pretty hard to see the GPS screen through that... oh gotcha will the micro usb stay in the phone securely while riding? At least that I can "see" when it comes unplugged and adjust at the next stop. Really concerned with the "permanent" wiring.

With a full carputer there is absolutely no reason to spend money on the miniDSP. You've got a way more powerful DSP already on board with all sorts of free plugins.

I like my Kershaws. I have several scallions, chives, and leeks. I use them at work and in my shops. They sharpen quick and easy (I am an old school stone sharpener). The quick actions can be picky, but as long as they are kept clean and lubed they work great. But they tend to dull easily. I use the paper wheels at the bottom of this page. I can literally shave with my pocket knife. http://www.texaswood...g_Equipment.htm *of the shaving and results that is

ROFL. Wouldn't even be a penny stock. No knock on Fi meant of course.

I personally put a lot more faith in liberal arts education than Universities.
  13. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
BA in liberal arts? Sort of using two A's there. It's what I have sucka.

Need a snowmobile power supply for my phone. Cold used to take out my Droid in less than 15 minutes, lol. I want a right angle. So far that means: to to which would be hardwired to my rectifier. *obviously none of the above are actual choices, just the fastest picture I could find. Going to have to tape the shit out of it. Don't think that a cigarette lighter would make it 10 miles in the ditch.

Be glad you're not working on a german car. I struggled for a few hours to put back the trim panels which hold the overhead upholstery. Hmm, couldn't disagree more. BMW's are the easiest by far. Basically no manual or schematic necessary as theyusually just make sense. Japanese shit is a fuck show and American in between. Fucking GM is horseshit as the panels tend to explode if you put any force on them. I respectfully disagree. Almost completely I might add. With the work I do, I am disassembling a lot of interiors, too. I should add newest of any of the above I've torn apart is an 02. Lots of older stuff though.

Ha, I'd rather do QM than E&M but it is a close 2nd.

Good choice. Didn't realize there was another Physicist on board. My undergrad was a BA though, rofl.

Cheap bullshit. 06 was particularly bad.

  21. You're not going to. HLCD + one large pro audio midbass per door is what I would do. Sound 1000% better than your plans and considering HLCD can get loud enough to literally deafen you output isn't a problem either. Can you link me to some good examples of these HLCD's you are referring to. Tweeters are 18 slope crossed at 4k Mids are 24 slope crossed at 80 and 18 slope crossed at 4k I am really pleased with the current setup, lacks midbass but I can live with that. I just need it louder but staying just as clear as it is now. Crossover setup is an indicator to FR, but in this case a misnomer. Those mids sound like shit playing 4k and have no capability to play actual midbass. And yes, I too was suckered into using supertweets in my own car....just happened to be before you were born most likely. Keep up is rather personal. Pretty easy to get a single 8" sub to overpower any coax I've ever heard. Of course my cross points and desires are obviously way different and I'm surely not implying the OP is anything like me.
  22. He already owns a pair and likes them. At the same time, you will be absolutely shocked and excited to hear how much more of the audible range the HCLD's can play. WAY, WAY, WAY more. Only application I've heard for Supertweets that has been successful was in a 4 way front stage.

E36's in particular go together and come apart great. Must be his wrapping.

  25. / agreed You already have one set of FT1's, how is it that you think you need more? I'm seriously concerned over how you have it all setup.
