I see us more going the way of Europe, but many of them are facing huge financial problems and are having to cut back on their social programs, which often results in rioting. The problem with going the way of Europe is that we've all been exposed to the American dream. This means we are going to go the way of countries like Greece and not Germany. If work ethic is intrinsic then socialism can work, when it's not it is a major fail. Europe proves this everyday

The only part that made me depressed in my knife skills in that was the peeling. That dude was FAST. A real knife helps. He isn't holding a beast as even he doesn't want to pull the edge off his real knives for an apple.

Add Carter to those two and you have the 3 worst presidents in history. By FAR! Of course, Bush was a Christian Coalition Democrat. Talk about picking the worst of both sides. Ugh.

You do realize that military spending is not all defense. Much of it is research. And that research pretty much developed every cool technology that you can't live without. I know, but.. with all the money the country has spent and continues spending... Then one year, lets say a certain % of soldiers is brought back here. Let's say that's the % we were waiting for. Well, if the military budget were to still continue being spent\funded the way it was when we deployed all these soldiers over there, then that would be plenty of money for research, etc.. But, in the end.. we do not work in the government so we just sit back as spectators and comment on what we think we know.. Most of the time i just give up. Isn't anything we can do.. That isn't the spending I am worried about. Big government and useless social programs are WAY more wasteful. *just like military and infrastructure SOME social programs are necessary....just not many. Our current dipshit administration has no idea on what is good and bad in this regard.
  5. Exactly and at 4ohm that amp outputs 1000w. Not sure if you are referring to power gauge wire or speaker wire. Both somewhat depend on the length of the cable as longer runs need more juice. I'd use a minimum of 4ga on the power/ground and 14ga for the speaker. Max 1/0 and 12ga and most likely that is overkill.

  7. If you deal with any beginners you'll love the PA option. Personally looking into something like the Wetsounds 420 or even three analog potentiometers would be beneficial. In general I am SUPER opposed to the "add a line driver" school of thought, but in the case of being able to dynamically balance amplifiers for different zones it is critical. If you aren't pretty competent with a soldering iron doing your own pots won't be so effective. In my boat I don't actually even use a headunit, just a Droid Tablet. I also used cheaper amps. To avoid thermal noise this meant I needed a line driver as well as a way of independently adjusting the output in each zone. I consider the sub a zone since the amount of bass I want is dependent on if I am hanging out swimming behind the boat listening to the towers or in the boat chilling or on plane burning gas. Plug and play your easiest option is a dedicated line driver zone controller. I've never used one as in general installations they are a waste of money, but you have one of the situations where it can make a lot of sense.

Don't blame the kids, blame their parents. Same with education, not the teachers fault but the parents.

and there is no way i would ever vote for a guy who makes $2M per year off of companies that he sent outside the US and a guy who doesn't even have a bank account in the US. How could he even be a president if he doesn't even support the country? What a friggin snake. Polaris already built a new manufacturing plant in Mexico for some of theiir products i would like to keep the rest of them right here in the US Wow is that full of misunderstanding. Liberal media got you obviously. Put it in perspective. Let's say someone offered your $2M a year if you outsourced your own job to Mexico. You wouldn't do it? If you answer no, you are fucking lying. If someone will do a job cheaper you should let them. The cure is education. Only problem we have as a society is that our kids are all lazy fucks and won't get educated nor would they work. So why would we keep menial jobs for them to not do while foreigners come here gladly and do the work? Or perhaps you'd like to spend 8 hours a day putting one screw in one location on a piece of machinery for $2/hr.

Really? You're surprised? canada is looking real good right now If anything I'd expect you to despise Canada. Great place to say you are from when travelling in an anti-American country.

Really? You're surprised? Of course not. Really didn't want the validation of it though.

it takes me about an hour to enter a new order in our system for say a $60k project. Takes me 3 hours to do a change order 'add' or 'deduct'. Stupidity at its finest. Hate our new system. Only the company in MN that just bought us knows how to use. What company in MN bought you? Haldeman-Homme, inc. I've driven right by their building a bunch...but never noticed them. Not a potential for anything I've ever done though so at least I didn't drive by $$ and ignore them. Small world

Fuck, I did it the other way around. Not sure that 1 vote will = electoral college domination
  22. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
However, all the other reasons to not vote for him far outweigh that one.
  23. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
There is only one valid reason I can think of for voting for Obama. He's not Romney.
  24. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
I suppose you'd vote for Carter if he ran again too.
  25. Budget? Do you need a PA option for talking to your rider? Sadly I just put my surfboard and wakeboards up in the attic of the garage Towed the BU up to the farm this weekend....amusingly through snow
