  1. ^^^ True! LOL. Stef that song BTW sounds amazing in my car. Can't waait to get my tweeters in. ;-)
  2. I was mearly asking how you knew that is a great SQ headunit, can you tell me which specs scream SQ to you? I am just asking a question like if I ever decide to use my zapco comps and zapco amps what kind a h/u I should look for although at the same time I am not trying to jack the thread just looking for fast tips. If your using a component set then the active processing isn't something you would care for since your component set comes with a passive crossover network. Not sure if TA would beneficial since it would be going to the entire channel. Of course you could use your speakers without their passive crossovers and go active with this unit, would it be a big improvement, I don't know. I think even if you're using a component set, these types of unit deliver WAAAAY better eq options and adjustments. I'd get it even if not going active because I like that control. I'm definitely ordering one when its available. Tax refund and all. Plus some batteries!
  3. Any updates???
  4. Minimum 75 @ 4 ohms since I'll be running 8 ohms. Whatcha got?

    Happy happy old man!
  6. Missed this post. Great suggestions. The LPGs are amazing spec wise. Off axis response is forgiving as fck! Ordering those and the hinged wedge mounts. Boink!
  7. This thread turned out randomly amazing!!!
  8. Seriously???LOL. Didn't think it could take that pressure without buckling. :-*
  9. properly sealing that hole? I know that's why I didn't do it... If you can properly seal a box up when building then I'm sure you should be able to properly seal a hole with wire running through it. Difference is with sealing a box there is compression with wood to nail or using a clamp. Putting wires through an enclosure and sealing it to withstand that subwoofer pressure? I'm not sure how.

  16. Hoping something with bandpass options. :-\
  17. Oh shut I forgot. John. You still alive? I needed better crossovers.
  18. Shyt Sean!! lol... I need to save some space... Can't do 2 separate amplifiers for my idea right now.. But thanks. Too bad. They said they wanted to go to a good home. Save space and buy one. Who needs rear fill anyways? Unless you are going active. *hoping* Actually yes it is for active. Been eyeing down some precision power amplifiers. New for 200.
  19. two ugly ass shoulders!!!
  20. tits! ... lol, it ain't much smaller but it's been downsized..

  22. And bandpassed they can take some serious power. Of course, I'd still argue that imrpoving the enclosure is an easier way of livening up the bottom end. Aside from increasing volume, possibly aperiodic? Start with an enclosure. Was that a jab at me for having them in the doors? No way I'm trying door pods or kicks in the crossfire, there's just not enough room to work with. I want some headroom as I have to push the belle a little more than I'd like for normal listening levels. And on that note, there's a fucking 7547 on ebay right now, brand new for $220. I wish I could justify spending that right now. I haven't seen that amplifier in quite some time... You may have just put me to buy something I wasn't really looking for ... lol
