SPL Lab USB Bass Meter Pro
It was an impulse buy that simply was not needed. I used it twice for about an hour each time and it works just as it should. Everything in the picture is included. $300 shipped conus.
- Happy Birthday Aaron!

FS: two Xcon15"s D1 ohm (pick up in VA)
Look at the motor. There will be a big hole in the bottom plate. The picture below is a xcon with a pole vent.

Are they vented or solid pole?

I had a little time to get some music runs on video. This thing is playing very flat from the mid 50s down to the low 20s

FM radio = more bass than iPhone signal?
Could be the phone cutting bass frequencies to protect the micro sized speakers(earbuds) since you are using the 3.5mm jack. Sounds like something Apple would do.

Never is Enough, What Next?
My vote would be building a ported box. Most cost effective way to gain output in your situation. A Malibu should be able to fit a pair of 12" ported unless there is something funky going on in that trunk.

Thanks Leedogg. I've had some more time to play around and just listen to a variety of stuff. So far, the trident seems to excel at everything I have thrown at it. From pop and rock to hip hop and down to the DJSNT/Decaf/etc. Accurate and powerful. Nice tight kick drum when called upon and just gets silly with the lows. Have yet to try any electronic and dubstep now that I think about it. Box is 5 cubic feet net tuned to 30hz with 99 inches of port. Running at 1 ohm on a BC3500. When not going hog wild and chasing raw output, it has a heavy low end and peaks around 24-25hz. It seems to roll off on the high end around 60hz or so and 23hz on the low end(SSF is set at that point). I am thinking this sub would benefit from a larger amp. I feel like I am overdriving the amp to get the sub to come into it's own and both amp and sub warm up pretty good.

I did a 1 second burp for each frequency to see what response looked like. Pretty darn flat if you ask me. The exception would be the chunk from 44hz-52hz where I was actually trying to score. Driver door open, left display is in the kick, right display is at the headrest while holding rpm at 2k.147.56 at 50hz in the kick!!! I'll take it, considering this is my first time ever playing with a meter. I also took a video run on music at idle and did a 140 at 24hz, unfortunately my S3 seems to have corrupted the file.

Help w/ZCON 15 enclosure
Are you looking for suggestions like sub and port orientation? Or complete design and sketchup? Trunk wall? I was running my zcon 15 in 4.25ft^3 at 29 hz with 58in^2 of port. It sounded clean and FR wasn't terrible either. Played mid 50hz to about 24hz with a little lull in the upper 30hz. I was also running almost double your planned power to it though. No detectable port noise to me and it would flex my dash on the lows.

The enclosure doubles as a sleeper and storage space, love it!

Audible click when powered
If we are hearing the same thing, my PPI phantom amps do this. I just figure it is the internal switching when the amp powers on. It sounds like a relay click to me.

bridged amp and effect on resistance
Pretty cool having it explained like that.

I was playing it a little bit earlier in the day to make sure everything was hooked up and working correctly. Surprised no one called the cops. The xcon 15 had the cops cruising around in the past. The sub has less than an hour of play time on it and is super damn stiff but I can get some good flex as it is.

The still photos are on the blue setting, but I decided to take a video as well because the photos didn't seem to be doing any justice for how cool it looks. To me anyway. Here is the video of the light show as well. Beware of flashing lights/colors!
