FrostedFlakeJake's Picture a Day
Hungarian Falls near Lake Linden, Michigan. October 19th 2012. f/29, 2.5seconds, IS0-100, 17mm focal length. Canon 10-22mm ultrawide. I'll be posting a few more pics in the next day or two from this trip it was a good time! Finally got another break from school and studying. Today was my first time experimenting with the whole silky water technique. I don't have a neutral density filter so normally it is way too bright outside for me to have a long enough shutter speed to get the desired effect. Overall, I am pleased with the results.

My phone does the same thing to alert me that i'm using International towers. But it waits a second. Enough time for me to push "call" and put the speaker right next to my god damn ear *BEEP*

its an 18" D2. I bought it new and sold it last year to a friend. I'm currently seeing if he still has it and is willing to part with it. I'll keep you posted. It's in fine working condition (last i knew). What would you be willing to pay for it?

They are no longer produced so you are just going to have to keep looking. What size and coil configuration are you looking for? There is a very slight chance i know someone who is willing to part with theirs.

Do i need a bigger battery??
Once your car is running, the electrical system does not run off of the alternator. It runs off the battery. The only difference is that now that the car is on, the Alternator recharges the battery. Alternators are just mobile battery chargers, that's it. If you just have your normal starter battery, you're going to need an extra larger one. You're going to be discharging and charging that battery so rapidly that it's life will be decreased substantially.

It also doesn't help when you have a bit of an Asian, especially Korean, girl fetish and this video exists.....- Welcome to the IHoP
So I finally bit the hook and checked out this "Gangnam" style all my peers have been raving about on stalkerbook. Like most pointless internet trends, I was confused and didn't understand. That is until I was sitting there in my electromagnetism class and all of a sudden the words that I horrible interpreted as "wooopen Gangnam style!" conquered my entire mind.- Voltage dropping irregularly
Check connections to and from the battery. Especially the ground and alternator lead into the battery. What's your voltage at with no music at idle?- Welcome to the IHoP
Like the first twenty seconds of this video.- Welcome to the IHoP
I wouldn't doubt it if that girls forehead has it's own moon.- Welcome to the IHoP
For a couple hundred bones It better be able to! I might see if I can get a discount through my university. I have some experience with Adobe products before... maybe the learning curve won't be so drastic.- Welcome to the IHoP
I'm the one the photography shop tricked into thinking I needed a UV filter on my ultra-wide for my DSLR. For about 3 months I shot all my photos with this $35 piece of junk on the end of my moderately nice lens. Man that pissed me off. To be honest I forgot it was even on the end until I got frustrated with the horrible vignetting I was getting and decided to investigate. And I don't know of any good, user friendly panoramic software. I really am just a mild photography hobbyist; I hope I don't come off as someone who really knows a whole lot about it because I don't. But I might go to cnet and read their reviews and try some panoramic software out today. Same with HDR programs.- Welcome to the IHoP
I admit that I'm too lazy to devote the necessary time to learn how to manipulate digital photos, as well as raw image files, using software. I barely find enough time to shoot as it is with school, girlfriend, and other bits of life's bullshit. Hence my interest in a more hardware oriented solution. Of course, in my opinion, no amount of filtration beats optimal lighting. But it sure as beats lackluster lighting without using any filters at all. And seeing as I don't have as much time as I like, lackluster lighting is almost always what I get.- Welcome to the IHoP
Really considering saving up for some high quality graduated density filters. I could really, really, really, use them.- Welcome to the IHoP
