Can someone from DC Power Contact ME!!!!
now i would have to respectfully disagree there. This is a DC engineering official online board, right? (I'm honestly not sure) And this is a DC engineering customer service "issue". Granted i think the OP is going the total wrong way about this, but I completely understand his frustration. Whether its DC, the OP, or simply communication errors to blame, i can easily see how the OP would be frustrated. I'm glad threads like this exist. To me, they show one of two things. 1) Negative customer service for a company that is usuallly boasted by the members 2) Positive customer service for the company dealing with people who come into a situation with this attitude to have it being the consumers fault and not the company. Just my opinon

2004 explorer 4litre V6
Hey there! I hear alot of people requesting alternators made for their vehicles that aren't specifically up on your website!! So i'm here to do the same. Now i'll only really get a DC if i can find a buyer for my Iraggi. But just out of curiousity and possibly future installment, do you guys have alternators available for my vehicle or would they have to be custom made? and of course, the price!!! Thanks for your time!

Pioneer GM-D8400M vs JBL - GTO7001 vs SAZ 1200D
My apologies, but i had not known about your customer service with JBL prior to posting that. You know the answer as well as I do: obviously that's not better than the customer service you received. You're right, i should have specified more and again, i apologive for doing so. My expereince with Pioneer was frustrating. My first set-up was a pair of their championship series 12's. I was a noob, and still kind-of am, and i was confused with the wiring options. So being a noob, i wanted to contact the company specifically just to make sure that i was getting the right information. The person that i got to after the phone tree didn't even know the product. Never-the-less, it was two noobs talking to eachother and nothing got through. Probably just a one time deal, 1 phone operator not knowing whats up. But first impressions are impressions. JBL i have no experience with. You're right, that was a pre-judgement call that shouldn't have been made. Just JBL comes off as being a larger company than sundown (don't even know if that's true!). I know you can call sundown and have people like Jacob or Derik pick up. People that are more involved with the company than those who I would expect to pick up the phone over at JBL. Which i should have specified that being a major factor for me when it comes to customer service. To the OP, sorry about that man! But i would still get the Sundown! Comes with warranty, solid amps, and it's cheaper than the JBL! But probably more cheaply made.

Pioneer GM-D8400M vs JBL - GTO7001 vs SAZ 1200D
4 ohm single voice coils on those right? Im assuming you have them wired in parallel to achieve a 2 ohm load, correct? Either way i would go with the Sundown. Great Amps and by far better customer service than you will get from either Pioneer or JBL. I can't believe how much they want for that JBL amp. Sundown FTW!! the majority of people here run them, and there's a reason for that.

SQ Subs
Well... depends on budget. SQ sub that gets pretty loud - Fi Q Loud sub that doesn't sound too bad - Fi BL The SSA icon has it's place here somewhere too, i just haven't read too much about them. All would sound good off of 1000 watts. what's the price range? edit: It sounds like to me that your leaning more towards the BL route. What sounds good to you? have you heard any other systems? list your experience!!

Pioneer GM-D8400M vs JBL - GTO7001 vs SAZ 1200D
They'd all make really great paperweights. Oh... were you trying to power a woofer or two with those? Couldn't tell from your original post...

- System Build (2003 Blazer)
Is there a lowes or a home depot near you? I got all the supplies for my box from Home Depot. The only tool you really need is a drill, and if you don't have one, you can get at home depot I even got them to cut the MDF for me for free!!! Are you aware of the things you need to build a box? (going to list them anyways!) 1) Wood (most people use MDF board. thickness depends on build) 2) Wood glue! This is what actually holds the box together 3) Screws! To hold the box together while the glue you applied dries! 4) Silicone sealant to prevent leaking 5) Carpet. Only if you want. 6) Clamps also really come in handy sometimes as well, but again, not necessary. 7) Terminal box! i got mine at radioshack! It's not something that's really out of anyones league and it's a great learning experience! Cost of box is dependent on the size. Mine is about 7.5 cubes and it cost around 50 bucks for me to build. Now if you already knew all that info... sorry for wasting your time!- 2 15" BTL or 2 15" SMD
The SMD is more expensive. I'm not entirely sure on the exact cost; you'll have to contact an AA dealer for such information. Such as BKOLFO4 on this board. IIRC SMD's are a couple hundred more than the BTL's. I take it your going for daily loud? I haven't read enough SMD builds to really give much feedback about them. BanginGMC i know just did a build about them (might have spelled his SN wrong) so i would definately check that out. Good luck- bike makeover
I thought those were straight pipes =] that's awesome!! maybe post a video when your done? i wanna hear this bad boy too- bike makeover
Can't wait to see it finished. I was the other Buell poster I'm not too familiar with Blast's, but is that stock exhaust under there???- Quick Pic of the some new toys. Loves me some XCONS.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm tasty picture- Sundown Amp Remote
Frostedflakejake replied to xAndrew225x's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / ElectricalIt's possible that db-r sold the amp you were looking at a week ago and now they have another one for sale without the remote. I should have seen this sooner, I have a Saz-3000d in which i never use the remote and would have been willing to sell it for an appropriate price.- 2010 Buell xb12ss
Thanks Denim! It's a very nice bike. The torque curve is something every rider should desire. Of course, the top end ovbiously isn't as high, but I don't really need to go 200mph on a four-hundred pound motorcycle. There are some visual aspects of the bike i can't stand. The mickey mouse mirrors, the cheese grater (not necessarily uniquely bad on this), and the rear fender. I really don't like the rear fender and how it's connected to the belt cover. It just makes one big ol'piece of plastic hanging out there in the back.- What Up Doe!!!!!!!!
What part of detroit?- 2010 Buell xb12ss
oh man, if anyone knows these bikes, they know they are way too quiet from the factory. Normally I'm not the kinda guy that claims that louder pipes are better for safety reasons, but let me tell you. I've put 1000 miles on a harley sportser with Vance & Hines pipes and not ONCE have i had somebody try to turn into me or do something else stupid. 500 miles on the Buell and that crap has happened 3 times!! But this new exhaust just freaking kills it. i wish i had a video but i got that on during Labor Day before i had to go back to school! It sounds like it should, afterall, it is a harley motor in that thing!- 2010 Buell xb12ss
Thanks! the wait for this thing was horrible though. It was always "2 more weeks!" haha- 2010 Buell xb12ss
So after a couple months I finally got my George Balias muffler and elbow pipe for my 2010 Buell xb12ss. Installation was anything but a breeze. But that wasn't GB's fault, more so the fact that the oil filter was in the way of me disconnecting a mounting bracket for the original exhaust. ended up having to just sawing it off! So that was hard, especially because we didn't have power... but other than that the thing bolted right up!!! definately weighs less than stock, somewhere near 1/2 original muffler weight i would say. The look isn't too aftermarket, it actually looks like to me that it actually might belong on the bike. Picture time!! Note: The GB exhaust doesn't utilize the chin fairing. EDIT: the exhaust is actually a magnaflow muffler that George takes and manipulates it for bext results on the Buell.- Any Huskies Here?
i've spent over 4.5 years of my life in a tiny town here in the U.P. but it's weird to go from my summer home to HERE and not back home. It's just... the culture isn't diverse at all. Definately not used to that- Any Huskies Here?
Man you guys got my excited with the post count!! But yeah we got tons of them Cheese heads here! Sure as hell is different from Metro Detroit - System Build (2003 Blazer)
