  1. Then make a new thread. This has nothing to do with Skar Audio customer service.
  2. They list everything necessary to model their speakers. For example, here is a super quick plot of the speaker in the Jl recommended enclosure. And they aren't a scam because they aren't lying to their customers. Next attempt?
  3. Meh. When I was talking about my relay years ago I was told it was worthless, but I already had it so I installed it anyways. The thought is so that when your car is off, and alternator is not running, the relay will stop the batteries from trying to charge each other if there is a voltage difference between the two. Even if this happens, it's not catastrophic; as long as one of your batteries doesn't have extremely low voltage. It does. You can either run a wire from the positive terminal on the starting battery to the positive terminal on the extra battery, or just run another wire from the alternator to the extra battery. I chose the second option.
  4. Couldn't tell you. Run from alternator goes to big nut on the relay. A run from the relay to your battery goes on the other big nut. One of the small nuts is for a ground, the other is for the active signal (couldn't tell you which one is which. It will say when you buy it). For example, my active signal is through my fuse box via a fuse tap so that when I turn on my key the relay switches over and the alternator is connected to the battery. Otherwise the circuit is open.
  5. What one did you buy? Did it come with instructions or any specification sheets?
  6. Because we don't need to. Just like I don't need to drive a dodge caravan to know it's not going to be fast. Why do I know that? Because I can look at the drive train specifications of the vehicle. Did you or did you not click on the links i posted? Are you just choosing to ignore facts that prove Kevin incompetent? When he gets called out on parameters it's because they are physically impossible. Do you understand that? Not too good for Skar, but too good for science. Do you understand why he would do that? Because he understands that the real specifications are unimpressive, but doesn't understand enough to even make them seem better without defying physics. Screw all the other deceit, that alone should be plenty to convince you. And it's recent; within the past 6 months. I'm done feeding the troll. Whether you're too proud, ignorant, or amused to admit it, the logic is there.
  7. What about the links I posted? Where he clearly and blatantly uploaded incorrect, physically impossible, t/s specifications? That isn't good enough to show you his incompetence?
  8. I can't handle the guy in the Skar Audio. But i can't not comment either. Sigh
  9. For fast food, or food made on the fly, Five Guys has some amazing burgers. Their fries are either love or hate. If you like crunchy fries, you'll be disappointed. Take heed if you order fries there... a large order is easily enough for three people. They fill almost the entire bag with fries. Damn. I'm a fatty and I want five guys now.
  10. Oh man I completely forgot about that one....
  11. Oh man I completely forgot about that one....
  12. ^ those are a few examples. Those are just in the first 2 pages of the Skar section.... Also, their slogan of "where audiophiles meet excellence" is laughable.
  13. Nope. We've had proof, a scary amount of it, that Kevin is a swindler and a man with poor business ethics. Over and over again. He needs to prove to the audio committee as a whole that he has changed his ways before people like myself will put any faith in him.
  14. Yeah, we have manners and common courtesy up here in the north as well. I hope you don't suspect otherwise. I'm all for sound ordinance laws; as long as they are reasonable. I got one sound ordinance ticket when I was young and dumb and learned my lesson. I didn't need a felony charge to teach me a lesson. That sounds like a strong case of over policing to me. I think mandatory community service and a large fine would be much more useful than throwing someone in jail.
  15. That's the dumbest thing I've heard today. I wonder how many lives that ruins every year. "Well you look like a great candidate for this job... oh wait, it says here you're a felon. Sorry."
  16. Same thing for my 15"s when I had them. Complete different monster ported!
  17. I'd like to meet the guy that does!
  18. Modeled it and got somewhat similar responses. Not exactly the same, but mine still prevailed the X as as on top. I.E, i was wrong. However, like Quentin stated, WinISd for comparing drivers like this is a guess at best. Also, we don't know the specs of the Q with the high QTS option, which will also change other factors. So that's a complete different ball game. Still, I completely revoke my previous statement. I would do the X for basically the same reasons listed above. Just remember to not put so much faith in these modeling programs. Sorry for my previous lazy response.
  19. The SA's just aren't that awesome in a sealed enclosure. I ran them in both sealed and ported. The SA and Q are really different drivers. The X is even more different. Comparing all three is kind of like comparing a SUV to a Sedan to a Pick Up Truck. Just because you liked one 12" subwoofer sealed doesn't mean you'll like all of them sealed. The diameter of subwoofer has no mandate over which frequencies it plays better. The larger the diameter will yield more output. It seems like you are pretty stuck with running sealed, i assume you have your reasons. If you're limited to running sealed and the drivers you listed, the Q with the high qts would be my choice.
  20. What the hell are those? I get invited to them all the damn time. Is it just another social network?
  21. Oh, did i forget to mention? I bought a car a month ago... Just waiting to get flamed by you guys. SEE WHAT I DID THERE?!?
  22. double post fail
  23. Too much work done for me
  24. Sled business is the biggest I've seen it here. But this is only my 3rd year here. Today was the first day in weeks that it didn't snow a few inches. I liked it though! It was nice to go out and not get pelted with snow for once
