Splitting up the IHOP won't help too much, however, blocking/slowing the web crawlers from it will make a HUGE difference, as it likely archives the entire thread each time it visits the site. robots.txt in docroot with: User-agent: * Crawl-delay: 10 Request-rate: 1/5 # maximum rate is one page every 5 seconds Visit-time: 0400-0845 # only visit between 04:00 and 08:45 UTC (GMT) or 11:00pm EST -> 3:45am EST Disallow: /forum/Welcome-IHoP-t2235.html

Welcome to the IHoP
I couldn't get into a thread no matter what I tried, I was able to get to the individual sections, but couldn't list a thread without a forum error, which appeared to be related to a URL plugin, likely the SEO friendly URL's. Also, the URL's being generated are different from the URL's I checked last night. Example: 97f23-{34221}-Nightshade-v2-New-Personal-t34096.html instead of just Nightshade-v2-New-Personal-t34096.html, something like that.

The only time I've seen my droid somewhat slow was when I had a toooon of applications running at the same time. It runs everything in the background you don't specifically close. Download Task Killer (free) and kill off all the junk in the background, and speed/battery life goes through the roof.

Man, you guys make me feel tiny/scrawny. 5'11 and 135 lbs. I've stayed within ~5 lbs for the past 10'ish years now, don't really gain or lose.

I would definitely make sure you exhaust your optimization options before upgrading again. I've seen similar sized/larger forum sites that cause hell on our shared/vps server wanting to upgrade, push them to optimize a bit instead, and never hear from them again. We have a few larger forum sites that run IP Board if you need a comparison, but I don't see any of them with a thread of 250K replies. Oh, if not in place, mysql query caching/application caching will likely solve the slow loading problem alone.

ANYONE Make a Good Free Air Sub Anymore?
I was going to say my 2 12" infinity kappa perfect 12vq's will be up for sale shortly, they do 200w @ 4ohm free air (free air generally only needs low power to hit fill excursion), but they're single 4ohm coils.

It's been doing this to me for over a week and a half now, I might try Google's Chrome browser as I've been hearing good things recently.

They always have me messing with our phone system, Trixbox (Asterisk + FreePBX), fixing slowness/stuck phones/etc. I hate phone systems, so messy in the programming/backend.

Which Amp for 2 15"s BTL
sweet! sounds good to me. this is just another preference question i guess but is there a battery brand that works better than the other or a particular one that most people use for systems like this? kinetic, stinger, and the other guy mentioned group 31 but im not quite sure what that is? group 31 is just the size of the battery. I would check out XS Power, they have a slightly higher floating point than other populars, but also a bit more expensive. Kinetik is another great brand/popular company, deka's if you want to save a few bucks. Optimas are good batteries, but there's better/bigger out there.

Which Amp for 2 15"s BTL
Most HO alternators (that i've checked out) put out most of their power at idle. A HO alt plus a few batteries in the back on a saz 3500d on two btl's, guarantee you'll be happy.

That sized sheet is $26 at lowes near me, I can't find it on the Home Depot site though. I'll have to stop by later and check out quality/price.

Found this in a previous thread: 'I'm in the process of packing up and moving back to Kelowna right now....... if this enclosure is being used it will turn up eventually BTW.....I'll still be available for SSA products during the move over the holidays but the enclosure builds will be on hold untill after new years....... (BIGGER SHOP) and 20 x the population to work with '

Looking for some Punch
I agree with KU40, it sounds like you want more midbass and are expecting it from the subwoofer. Assuming this due to the high crossovers and the OP saying the lows sounded great. You'll likely notice a world of difference once the subsonic filter is lowered to ~30hz and LPF to ~100/120hz.

Lowes is closer to me than HD, so I tend to go there more often now. I need to go there to pickup some cheap'ish MDF for a couple boxes: 3/4X49X97" MDF

L7 vs Fi Q vsFI BL
The install is EASILY the most important part. My buddy and I both happened to get the same subs, sony xplod pentagons when they first came out. We both had very similar amps, sony, I think mine was 1200w, his was 1300w (from a year earlier). The sound coming from those subs was VERY different between our installs. Even though we both had different cars, mine was a volvo 850 and his was a 90 civic sedan, COMPLETELY different sound from the subs due to different tuning/boxes/etc. Even when we traded boxes/subs, the boxes sounded different in the other car. tldr: Put a sub in a properly built enclosure vs. a prefab or smaller enclosure than it should, you'll see quite a difference.

throwing out some more blow through ideas
Indeed, can't understand what you're even asking. Wild guess, but are you asking if you should run a fi btl (15 or 18) on top of a single 12 inch btl/2 ssd's? If so, then no. Pick a single sized sub (probably the biggest you can fit) to play the low frequencies (up to 60/80 hz'ish) and play the rest from the front stage (60/80hz and up).

Adobe acrobat pro 9 keygen. Ah, likely a torrent. I've downloaded tons of them without any problems, but I usually get them from btjunkie.org. Read the comments, people usually post if they got a virus in them. Occasionally, I'll grab something from someone's webhosting account before sending them a pirated software notice, but run those under the non-privileged user.
