I have two U.S. Amps that I have had for years and I am wanting to get the specs on them. I had them installed in another vehicle that I recently sold and I am reinstalling them in another vehicle.

Before I sold my other car the 150 fried which sucks, but another reason I am wanting the specs is to find out if it would be worth fixing.

The first amp is a US 150 the other is a US 25.

The USA-25 is rated for 35w per channel @ 1 ohm and 70w bridged into 2 ohms. The bench test I've seen for US Amps from that generation showed the amp to do 50% more than rated power into 4 ohms stereo and a decent bit more than rated on all others loads as well.

Those are the origional specs off my 92 catalog. And we all know they're under rated as I used to have a vl100 pushing 6 petras prowler 15s in 94-95

So, the 150 would be worth a rebuild?? And the salesman wasn't lying when he stated that it could push out close to 1,000 watts.

I am starting to get back in to systems again. The amp would be pushing 2 Volcano CDS they are 400 watts RMs 800 watts Max. This will only be a temporary system until I upgrade.

I am contemplating on going with 2 or 3 Napalms. I have been corresponding with the manufactures of my old volcanos (which they do not manufacture anymore). He told me of a few new lines they are coming out with. The Napalms he said are 1000 watts RMS. He is supposed to be sending me the specs on them.

The system will be going in a 2000 Honda Civic.

Thanks for the help.

specs for the speakers are.

fs qms vas qes re power rms

12c 34 9.1 2.7 .45 3.6 300 watts

napalm 12 34 7.36 2.6 .45 4 1000watts

I can get the 12c for SUPER Cheap because they are discontinued.

Napalm are DVC 12c are SVC.

What would you recommend. 3 12c or 2 or 3 of the Napalms.

Again it would be in a 2000 Honda Civic and I would like to keep the back seats.

Depends on price

As mentioned already, if it's cheap enough a rebuild might be worth it. There is, however, no way that that amp will push anything near 1000W. The power supply might be able to do around 700 and factor in output stage losses for final in the realm of 600 into 2 ohms bridged. The 4 ohm power will be more than the rated power but as the impedance drops the specs get closer to the actual output.

$ 100.00 shipping included!!!

I would say it is worth it.

If I do the Big 3 would it effect output?

After looking at whats out there now...I am wondering if I should sell this stuff after getting the amp rebuilt and get a new set up.
