Posted August 6, 200718 yr So what would happen if I crossed the power and ground on the amp? Yes, I did this accidentally, for less than 5 minutes ! The amp does have a reverse polarity protect on it, but what damage, if any, have I done? Is it completely fried? I went ahead and put the wires back in correctly, and I still got no sound to my fronts. Thanks for your replies
August 6, 200718 yr Probably took a diode out with it...but replacing a blown Zener diode is a heck of a lot easier than replacing the whole PSU.Open it up and pray...about the best you can do in this situation.
