Sup folks, I have a friend that is trying to figure out a way to make a mini ipod work with his stock cd player. THis is what he is trying to do and figure out. Can you tell me if its possible and if so how do you do it?

"I have a 2000 Nissan Xterra SE with the factory head unit

(CD/TAPE/CHANGER CONTROLLER DOUBLE DIN) and it doesn't

have any inputs on the back other than a 12 pin connector

for a cd changer (which I don't have). I'm trying to make

an auxillary input out of the cd changer input so I can

wire my iPod directly into the reciever for higher quality.

In theory this should be possible assuming there is a way

to get the reciever to switch over to the cd changer input.

I've found a post containing the pin layout for this

connector however I haven't found any information on how to

wire it up to work for what i want. Any help is very

appreciated.

The top picture in the second post shows the layout for the 12 pin

cd changer input connector. "

Thanks for reading hope someone can help.
