Posted September 25, 200717 yr ok i was lookin at the atomic extinction level event 24 inch subs and it says that they have the cone area of 3 15 inch subs so if i bought four of them would that sound as though i had 12 15 inch subs. they are 2k rms so i would have them hooked up with that. astro van so plenty of room to utilize. or are they too big. would the cones flex and through off the linearety causing the cone to flex and unwated heat and distortion to set in. or would i just be better off to go with the four fully loaded btl 18's with around 3k rms per sub. i like rap so thats what will be played through them and pretty often. please give me some feedback after viewing this thread cause i need to get these things figured out fast so i can get to orderin some subs. thanks for your time
September 25, 200717 yr Author if i added an audio control epicenter on them could i get more output from them then
September 25, 200717 yr if i added an audio control epicenter on them could i get more output from them thenThat's basically bass boost aka distortion.
September 25, 200717 yr Author dang i guess im just frantic about this cause after i buy them they are mine and i want top of the line. sorry if that sounds funny
September 25, 200717 yr Then you better be prepared to spend a crap ton of time or money on the install as it will be the big differentiator.
September 25, 200717 yr Author oh the install will be very expensive. even though i like bass and clarity more than looks the shop im gonna take it to is 120 per hour. sound decision in montgomery by chicago. they do awesome work. thats expensive for a shop in illinois. they are even out in the boonies. if you have ever seen the stinger demo with the waterfall in the back it was them. although im not goin for that fancy crap just a wall and lots and lots of dynamat extreme. it will be tuned to 32 hz no matter what subs i go with. but flared ports is what i want to use.
September 25, 200717 yr Price per hour isn't what I meant. And skip the Dynamat, use Raamat or Secondskin. Why the fixation on 32hz?
September 25, 200717 yr Author i like low notes on rap songs and i figure that at that frequency they will be pretty loud and deep
September 25, 200717 yr i like low notes on rap songs and i figure that at that frequency they will be pretty loud and deepnot quite how it works...Here are the links:http://raamaudio.com/cgi-bin/index.cgihttp://www.secondskinaudio.com/
September 25, 200717 yr Author so would the spectrum sludge a good choice, its is lots cheaper than the extreme
