October 14, 200717 yr Either of those are great choices for what you wish to accomplish...What kind of power you looking at ?You may want to look into a Si BM mag 12" or wait a little bit for the new MAG 12"All great SQ subs..... out of the ones you listed I like the Q sealed in 1.2 (sounded nutz) I have yet to hear an icon 12 sealed and i can't wait to hear one.... but from what i have seen from members that are of the same taste in subs for SQ, the icon is another good sub...
October 14, 200717 yr Author i'm planning on using between 800w by running a sundown 1500d at 2 ohms (for dependability and cosmetic reasons). my goals are to have decent low end with good sq. nothing competition level, just street/show. i'm sure a single 12 with 800w in 1-1.5' sealed enclosure will get decently loud. right?i probably will go with the fi q12 since thats something i really want to hear. i always end up kicking myself for getting things other than what i really wanted. will it still sound good a little underpowered?on a side note, do y'all think the sundown 100.4 would be good for running my cdt hd-62/m6. the m6 is rated at 150w so same issue with under powering.and one more thing, i'm considering using some cdt classic 6x9 for rear fill. i know a lot of ppl say don't bother, anyone disagree?
