Posted July 15, 200421 yr here are a few pics of the beggining phases of my project... there will be several more in the future.
July 15, 200421 yr Ah yes, fond...well not really...memories. And the thing is, some of the interior is back in the car and it all has to come out again in a week or so.
July 15, 200421 yr Author some of the interior is back in the car hehe... but not all :-Di get funny looks from people in traffic all the time. my car only has the two front seats, center console and carpet in it. no trim pannels and no rear seat
July 15, 200421 yr don't you just love fords and how easy they are to disassemble? i know i love my mustang for it!!! what type of car is that? i wish i hade your trunk
July 16, 200421 yr Author it is an 03 taurus.but by the way... ford, easy to disassemble?? you should see a honda. fords are a pain in the ass. all you need for a honda is a phillips screwdriver and you can have the entire car in pieces... literally
July 16, 200421 yr Big Ford fan here, but their lack of common screws really pisses me off. And my Mustang, bah, that damn trunk..... Need more pics, but looks good so far.

July 17, 200421 yr Why someone needs 4 12's or 3 15's is beyond my knowledge ... Looks good so far.Driving a gutted car around town ... I hope you weren't looking for races ... r-i-c-e-r ... - Steve
July 17, 200421 yr Author calling a bone stock american car(03 taurus) rice is beyond me, maybe you just missed the memo ... but no i wasnt looking for races, i was just making it so that we dont have to take th entire car apart again in the following weeks when we go to work on it.but i dont need a guitted interior to beat ricers. no one ever expects a taurus to move, but the quad cam engine is no joke Edited July 17, 200421 yr by hoss
July 18, 200421 yr I was kidding ... We've got our fair share of knotheads around here who drive around with a gutted interior because they believe the loss of 50lbs makes a 4 second difference in their 20 second pass at the strip.- Steve
July 19, 200421 yr Sweet I'm eye-balling the 6.500 v2 myself... but I really should just keep what I got!
July 19, 200421 yr Author i actually considered two of the 6.500's(one for each side), but the price difference between the 6.500's and the 4.100's doesent justify the price difference in my oppinion, or at least with what i was using.if i were jacob(something i find myself saying ALL the time), i would probbaly keep what i have.
July 19, 200421 yr Author you just gotta find a local dealer. i found mine through other friends, and he is actually not local, i have to drive an hour and a half to get to him.try contacting someone over at tru and they should be able to tell you where you can find them
July 25, 200421 yr Author due to recent events, project hammy has been put on hold... possibly indefinitly i swear i am destined to never own a stereo.
July 25, 200421 yr What are you missing? I have asome stuff lying around you could borrow to get you by if you need.
