December 6, 200717 yr How many deebeez are you getting? 145? I use Ni-MH batteries in my portable speakers for better power delievery.
December 6, 200717 yr Author my nimh didnt work for some reason...i'm using some cheap batteries.com type lol
December 6, 200717 yr A few years back I bought a 24 pack from all-battery.com Good stuff, discharges its rated capacity, still working. Make sure you have a good charger, something with delta-peak circuitry. I use a fancy-smancy Ni-CD/Ni-MH/Li-Ion/Pb/BBQ R/C charger... so fancy it needs a 12V power supply.

December 6, 200717 yr That is a cool looking armrest! I'm not too sure about you guys, I really can't remember a time when I didn't have a full system in my closet ready to go if I had a system in my car or not (not=working stock junk system). Maybe not the best but something that would work ok....just can't do without.I had a Tekin charger for an RC car. It would charge about anything off a car battery, it was awesome, had pulse charging, cool deal. Edited December 6, 200717 yr by sqguyib
December 6, 200717 yr Author heck yea man, i was without music for 3 weeks and i was dyin....started to use my phone for entertainment, but just was't hackin it.
December 6, 200717 yr For the ultimate in budget sounds, go to k-mart and buy a boombox and a cheap inverter! My cousins actually did that in their ancient quest van. Nothing that wasn't essential to the safe movement of the vehicle worked. Its surprising it held up as long as it did. :]

December 6, 200717 yr No doubt, I just read your sig not a bad list of stuff. I'm slow as can be because I have no time....but I got a system in the car that works.
December 6, 200717 yr Author wow. Install your shit man.im slowly saving up. working 12 hours a week at 8 bucks an hour isnt cool. i gotta pay for my car insurance as well
December 7, 200717 yr Don't have it all yet? Man I could put together a system cheap in a couple weeks on ebay. $8, you should be in MI then you would get 0 hours a week. Hey we all been there (or most anyway), try to get a better job or find something else to do and make money...legally of course.

Once the semester ends on the 19th ill but up at a full 20 hours a week again
December 7, 200717 yr You are so patient. I would buy the HU, then take a couple hundred and get the rest used so it worked. Then replace it all as I could and sell the used back off if I didn't need a spare.

I need to get the subs first because the Pre order is gonna end soon. hopefully the subs are gonna be keepers2. I decided to pickup an Alpine 9835 for 250 locally and wait to see what alpine has in store for 2008...if i dont like it, ill stay with the 9835 till i see a unit that meets my standards. I'm going to use the stock jbl speaks and amp for the time being, sounds pretty good actually. Also gonna buy the rest of the wiring stuff i need.3. I think then im gonna spend a couple hundred on Raamat products and deaden the crap out of my car, and run the wires while its gutted.somewhere in between 2 and 3 - For the mids, ima get a set of alumapro ALC 5.25" mids for 70 shipped to mate with my seas neos along with the mdf wood for my amp rack and box. the wood obviously is going to be a keeper, Along with the mids, im going to pickup an md1d and md42 to finally go active and get some bass.- after all that fun stuff is done, im going to replace the alumapro's with some Seas nextels, get an md21 for the tweets and use the md42 bridged at 8 ohms for the mids.only THEN will my system be complete....i hopethis is gonna be expensive
December 9, 200717 yr That should be great when you get done, I'm just saying I sold a 4004 audiobahn for about $50 the other day. You could run the front and bridge the rear for a cheap single 12 you should be able to dig up for 30-50 bucks box and all, and you would have tunes. Lol, my HU came out of a car I bought. Had it for a few years and sold it, kept the HU and ended up putting it in here. I really need to get a good one some day. It sounds nice but no processing in it.
