December 10, 200717 yr What size and how many BM's do you have? Also, how much room do you have available to give up to your sub(s)?
December 13, 200717 yr 2 ft^3 tuned to 32 Hz after port and driver (a single 12" BM displaces 0.1 ft^3).
December 13, 200717 yr 2 ft^3 tuned to 32 Hz after port and driver (a single 12" BM displaces 0.1 ft^3).I thought they were ported at 34hz.
December 13, 200717 yr They can be tuned anywhere from 32 to 38 Hz in 2 ft^3 or larger, and since he has plenty of room, tuning to 32 shouldn't be a problem. You are right though, I was thinking Mag's (tuned at 32 Hz), but the BM's are tuned at 34 Hz.

I cannot find the T/S specs on these things for jack. The shop I'm having build my box wants these specs so that he can enter the information into a computer and get dimensions for a box (some rockford fosgate program). Is there a way to get T/S specs for this? Or should I just tell him 4 feet ^ 3, tuned to 34? How big on the port? Thanks in advance.

Do 4 ft^3 @ 34 hz, tell them the xmax is 16mm and they should be able to determine port area from that.

The box builder was telling me that I should tune it lower because I listen to rap, is that true? I told him what you said tho, hopefully it turns out ok. Just using these until the new mags come in anyways Thanks again!
February 11, 200817 yr Tuning lower will NOT be better for rap. A 34 Hz tune dips down to 20 Hz with zero loss in a car.The T/S's are still on our web page. Go to the bottom of the BM web page and there is a link. Port area should be between 20-24 in^2 per driver.

I'll make sure to tell him to tune it at 34, thank you.Do you happen to have the link to the webpage for the BM?The only webpage I can see is: http://www.stereointegrity.com/oldbm.phpAnd at the bottom it's only showing "New BM 12
February 11, 200817 yr Sorry about that, you're right, it is the proto specs. I'll post the specs later on tonight for you.Your box builder still needs to build it to 2 cubes tuned to 34 Hz though.

Don't worry about the specs, I just got ahead of him and told him to do it 4 ft ^3, tuned at 34, with a 40-48 inches port area. He seemed upset when I repeated what you said about not tuning lower than 34, but hey, can't argue with the creator lol. Thanks a ton for the help man, this is the reason I refer everyone to you guys! Mucho appreciated, I almost had a funky box for my BM's!
