i was thinking lately that mabye my box is to big and open? i have a 12 inch d2 in a 3.0 tuned to 28 now i am thinking something like a 2.0 tuned to 34 would be better for me. it really is deep bass heavy were only a few songs go.

would a higher tuning and a smaller box be better?

y would u have to make the box smaller to have a biigger port

the bigger the box the better.

so y not tune ur 3.0 to 34hz

nah, bigger is better :slayer:

Uv'e neva seen the commercial

i guess tomorrow i will pry the top off of my box to take out that wall to bring it up to 34 and re seal it all. man that means that i have to snatch the back seat out dang

will an air leak in a ported box make all the bass go to the outside of the car instead of stayin inside?

ok so it must be that i have the box tuned too low what frequency do most rap songs play at for instance

ying yang - get low

lil john - knocking heads off

lil wayne - bring it back

most rap (or most music at all for that matter except for house and trance etc) does not get below 30Hz

get low has some low ass bass. but i mean u should still be able to hear it just not as loud. plug ur port and see if u really see a diffrence.
