May 1, 200817 yr Author very small update.had so much expanding foam between the side door and the box that it pushed it out about 3/4". so had to dig some of the foam out and pound the door back in and tack weld it. it will be fully welded and filled over so it will look like the door was never there.peal n sealed the floor and gettin ready to get the other 5 batteries in the back.
May 4, 200817 yr Author so yah time to put new shocks on the van. been riding on springs since i had it. can kinda tell lol. can definetly tell it has been time for new shocks. rear shocks were actually broken off and just hanging. OH and my friends got jokes!
May 6, 200817 yr Author hmmmmm cell phone picsthats my 2400 thats gonna run my 100.4 and my van. have a stepdown that charges it when my alternator is hooked to the 16v bank.
May 6, 200817 yr those doors are ugly!hahaha....Even with two jumpers, I'd still recommend more, so many runs to the front, but that's so much less than in the power in the back, I never get why people do so many runs from back to front but short hand themselves else ware.
May 6, 200817 yr Author eventually im gonna do copper bar jumpers in the rear. right now this will do since i only have 3 3000d's
May 13, 200817 yr Author well the podium is on its way to being completed. still has work to be done. adding 2 stinger volt meters. 1 for 12v and 1 for 16v. thank the man who im letting run the van for the rest of the season till i get home for building the podium. hes very good at his work for some reason i trust him enough to send him hundreds of dollars worth of stuff to put together a podium and let him run my thousands of dollars worth of car audio equipment in my van haha. i figured it would be better than letting the van sit while i was away. i joined team sundown before i left and got a killer deal and i didnt want to fudge the company out of anything by not following through with what i promised.but heres the beggining of the podium
May 14, 200817 yr very small update.had so much expanding foam between the side door and the box that it pushed it out about 3/4". so had to dig some of the foam out and pound the door back in and tack weld it. it will be fully welded and filled over so it will look like the door was never there.peal n sealed the floor and gettin ready to get the other 5 batteries in the back. That was funny seeing the "titty van" roll into the lanes.I was wondering if that would cause any problems down the road.Huh, oh well it just keeps getting better. You going to do anything to the outside?
May 18, 200817 yr Author oh yah the vans bodywork is going to be done and its gonna get a paintjob. half pink half black with a silver stripe down the middle.
May 19, 200817 yr Author not a finished podium but a working podiumno i did not build this so i cant take the credit. thx TK
May 22, 200817 yr Author damn thats a bunch of batteries20 in the back and 1 under the hood to be exact. ill never have to upgrade electrical now which is wat i was going for. if/when i decide to go more power i wont have to change anything.
May 22, 200817 yr Author yes its a pioneer 7500mp. got it with the xm unit and antenna for under 100 bucks off ebay. i couldnt pass it up. will be playing on the 1st. wiring has a few days in itself.
May 26, 200817 yr Author Bad News. one of the main guys helping me out on this build while im away broke both of his legs and some ribs lastnight. i think he was riding his racing quad. i havent got the full story yet so the build might slow down a bit. hopefully still be up and going on the 1st with some help from some other friends. and the guy who is running my van, his vehicle broke down as well so that kinda puts me in a bind haha. he has my podium lol. figured i would give the update
May 26, 200817 yr Author omg that douche didnt wreck or break anything. he was joking with me. thats not even funny i dont think. considering he is a friend of mine i felt bad. bastard lol. but the guys vehicle DID break down. man i was worried like a true friend should be. i was pwnt i guess
May 26, 200817 yr Noone should joke about things like serious accidents. Build looks uber-cool so far.
May 28, 200817 yr Author laughing out loud.only for right now the 6.5s are gonna be like this in the back. untill i get home to fiberglass them in all different places. had to find some place to put them in order to get the right ohm load. will angle the tweeters to the back. wont be too bad. and have the 18 coaxials in the front in the doors as well.
