question 1) what in the world do i use to crimp the ring terminals on my 0g wire???? or what should i say is the best and most efficient way to do it. i mean, if i have to i will go out and buy a special tool but i wouldnt even know what tool to buy because ive never seen a crimper that big.

question 2) if i have two kinetiks, one in the back & one under the hood, should i ground my amps to the negative terminal or still to the chassis? and i was also wondering do i still need to send a wire from the neg. terminal on the battery in the back back to the chassis somewhere?

1) I've alway used a vise, if no vise a hammer will work.

2) Yes, you will still need to ground the rear battery. I recommend running a cable from the rear battery negative to the front battery negative. As for the amps, run it to the rear battery negative terminal.

alright, shouldnt be a problem... i bought a whole roll of 0g kolossus fleks from knukonceptz. as far as the vise goes, i never have thought of that but sounds like a great idea. i bought a bunch of extra ring terms. though bc i want to do the big 3 too.

i allways uses a torch and soider for my 0 gauge,

if you do it that way though, do you still crimp it slightly? or do you do that after you crimp it? because solder can break off fairly easily right?

i have yet to have it break on me i hope it dont! now you have me wondering if it will!

well i hope it doesnt, but i mean i could understand if it was like welded or something, haha. but solder isnt too hard of a metal, so i mean unless you caked it on there it could come off with enough movement and wiggling i would imagine. maybe ill crimp it and then put solder on there just to be safe.

Use a swaging tool + solder.

I use it for 4/0, its good up to 6/0 I believe. If you didn't know, 4/0 is alot bigger than 0 gauge. Its called a crimp anvil. Weldingsupply.com has them.

if you don't have that anvil thing i would use a torch and solder. never had one come apart. i seen some crimps get loose after a while. solder and torch ftw. just get the 1/0 terminals that don't have a hole going through. fill it up with solder and dump the wire in.

i used one of those crimpers for my 1/0 gauge. never tried to use one of the anvils but i know they work.

I could try to get a shot of where I put it through the firewall and the crimps and what not, but I need batteries for my camera first. Tomorrow, check back here for shots of the crimped/soldered 4/0 wire in my truck. I plan on doing a negative run as the chassis ground sucks royal ass, but its the best I could find. Its quite teh beefy. I couldn't get some bolts undone where I wanted to run it inside the vehicle, so there is a bulge in the carpet. Only noticeable if you know what you're looking for though.

i ran 2-0 gauges from my rear cells, down to to the frame of my car, i see some people say to run another one from the back to the front, ....... what are you working with over there....

The hardest part was trying to get the bolts out of the seat so I could route it where it would be invisible... that didn't happen, the bolts were in their so damn hard. My camera also ran out of batteries. I got a few pics though. Messy install under the hood, but I do not care. It does what its supposed to do. I'll get more pics of the anvil and how it works, and of the python under the carpet when I have new batteries

2.ID GROUND THE AMPS TO THE BATTERY'S THERE SELF .. RUN A NEGITEV RUN FROM THE FRONT BATTERY TO THE BACK BATTERY.. THEN GROUND THE FRONT BATTERY TO THE CHASSIS AND THE BACK BATTERY ALSO..... AND FROM THE BACK BATTERY TO THE AMP(S)

Na, this isn't welding wire. Its "industrial" wire. I understand that it gets used for VERY LARGE generators, trains, stuff like that. I would like to compare it to weldingsupply's 4/0 sometime.

Here is the crimp anvil and how it is used. I believe its actually only good up to like 5/0 (if there is such a thing, I know there is 6/0). This terminal I use as an example is slightly bigger than the 4/0 ones.

Put the terminal in like so:

Insert the wire into the terminal, and:

BAM! WHACK IT HARD WITH A HAMMER! Do it on cement for best results.
