i blended the sub down to fit in with the front stage and all i can hear is Loose Plastic panels Rattelling...

s0o0o0o0o i have spent the last 2 nights re-doing the front doors & the thinggy in the headliner of the explorer...

now all the Rattelling is behind me... Dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm it...

:suicide-santa:

panel rattle is a bitch.

for me it's not so much my panels but my rear view mirror has a violent shake which causes this weird ass rattle sound. my other issue is my rear dash panel, that thing just flip flops around and is close to impossible to keep quiet. air trying from escape the trunk just causes the panel to lift and hit the glass and chit. it's pretty bad.

are you adding sound deadener to your car or just re enforcing the panels?

i plan on using some paint on deadener to add to the back of some of my panels to see if it would keep the noise down some.

thanks guys :)

im adding sound deadener to the outer & inner door panels but i find the plastic door covers seem to make noise as well.

i need to get new clips that hold the door panel in place as once you pull em there trash and donot hold the door cover tight anymore...

had to get a second set of crossovers so i can run an active setup...

im going to need a lot more sound deadener...

Not a rattle in my truck and it is one of those cheap ass GM's. Just take some time to do things right and you shouldn't have issues.

I hope I can pull that off in mine. I noticed there are alot more little rattles in my 02 then there were in my 90 model. I can only imagine how horrible a nbs chevy sounds with a large substage and no deadning

Last GM I am going to own, but convenient for you mine is an 02. You can deaden everything you need in it, but get ready for the window seals to howl and be louder than the rest of the truck.
