January 8, 200817 yr Author You have some other problem if your FM reception is affecting by your amps....like what?I thought it was pretty common for class d amps to deminish fm reception
January 8, 200817 yr Actually, I haven't noticed an issue with FM reception in my install, and if it was there, I'd definitely notice. Now, the noise floor sucks for single-sideband and AM reception when the Tantrums are on. Almost unusable from 20 meters (14MHz) up to 6 meters (50MHz). So there's definitely broadband noise there, it's just the noise-rejecting capabilities of FM keep most of it out of the receiver's front end.

January 9, 200817 yr Author anyways I have a bigger problem i need to solveMy amp (PG RSd 1200.1) isnt stable at 1 ohm so I'm running it at 4 ohms which only grants my subs (2 RE SE 12s) ~800 watts to share. So I thought switching to a US Amps XT 1600.2 and run it at 4 ohms which would grant my subs ~1100 watts to share AND solve my D class FM reception ruiner problem. Whutcha think?
