LOL, ok so a customer walks into my store today and wants to get a box built. Well the builder is out for the week. But just out of interest i wanted to know what he had and he says Konaki. Never heard of it let me go look. So i'm expecting like walmart quality stuff. He says he got it in houston, which is where most of the people from around here go to pick up "cheap" car stereo stuff.

So i look in and there are 2 12s in boxes. so i try to pick up a box and i was barely able to pick it up. Crazy heavy and dual 1 ohm. Speaker says 2400w Max and 1200Wrms.

managed to find a website. the model # was KO12-1207A

Just thought it intersting and figured i'd post about it.

There are numerous threads about these subs on this forum and on ROE.

Decent motor for the money...I'd recone it. Apparently they have weak glue and the spider landings come apart and eventually the bottom spider will get messed because it is not mirrored

Tested em. Big, loud, very low quality build.

The lower spider landing will pop off first, you should epoxy that. Once you epoxy that the top spider will pop off, so I suggest adding epoxy there too. If the customer applies too much power it will then break the triple joint as the spider allows less travel then the motor is capable of and the glue joint can't take the stress of the suspension locking up.

it had so much promise, lol, until real world applications came into play
