Posted January 20, 200817 yr I have the IXL 18 Just sitting in my closet and i am wanting to put it to use. I was considering using it as a loud speaker for parties and such. Could anyone help me out with this. Like what to power it and such. I am more of a car audio guy so i don't have much experience with these kinds of things.
January 21, 200817 yr What type of budget are you looking at for a Professional Audio amp? You'll need at least 800w @ 4 ohms.

For your parties you would be more after the mid-bass than the ultra lows, so consider building small(er) and tuning at 32-35Hz.Best,Mark
